Full Job Description
Leadpoint Business Services is currently seeking a Regional Operations Director, who will be responsible for overseeing multiple recycling facilities within a designated region, ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, workforce performance, and safety compliance across all sites. This key role involves providing leadership to Onsite Managers (OSMs), implementing workforce management programs, and driving the execution of strategies to meet business objectives. The position requires strong communication with executive leadership, as well as maintaining professional relationships with key customer contacts and ensuring the effective execution of operational and financial performance goals.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, the Regional Operations Director is a highly strategic role that demands leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to manage a diverse, multi-site team.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Leadership & Oversight
• Lead and support Onsite Managers (OSMs) and Workforce Coordinators across multiple facilities to ensure effective execution of workforce management programs.
• Monitor and track facility-level KPIs (safety, quality, productivity, cost, and customer satisfaction); implement corrective actions as needed.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess operations, reinforce best practices, and build strong customer relationships.
• Ensure Onsite Managers are trained and supported to deliver high-performance results at all assigned locations.

Customer & Stakeholder Management
• Serve as the primary point of escalation for customer leadership in the region.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with customer contacts at both regional and facility levels.
• Collaborate with customer leadership to identify operational needs, resolve challenges, and propose improvement strategies.

Executive Communication & Reporting
• Provide regular updates and performance reports to executive leadership, identifying key risks, opportunities, and performance improvements.
• Align regional operations with company strategy by collaborating with corporate leaders on goals and objectives.
• Make recommendations for process improvements, workforce strategies, and resource allocation to senior leadership.

Operational & Financial Performance
• Drive continuous improvements in workforce productivity, safety, and retention across all facilities.
• Analyze and report on regional performance metrics, identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements.
• Oversee budgets, staffing levels, and resource allocation across sites in the region.
• Work closely with customers to evaluate competitive wages, recommend adjustments, and ensure workforce attraction and retention.

Talent Management & Development
• Lead, mentor, and coach Onsite Managers and Workforce Coordinators to ensure effective leadership at all facilities.
• Oversee regional hiring strategies and collaborate with OSMs on recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Develop and maintain a leadership pipeline and succession planning for the region.

Safety & Compliance
• Foster and maintain a culture of safety across all assigned facilities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including accident investigations, safety training, and PPE protocols.
• Lead regional initiatives aimed at reducing safety incidents and continuously improving results.

Work Environment

This position operates in both office settings and customer-facing environments, including recycling facilities and operational areas. The role involves exposure to typical plant environments, including noise, moving equipment, and the need for adherence to safety protocols.

Physical Demands
• Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.
• Frequent walking, standing, and occasional climbing during site visits.
• Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required.
• Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, and peripheral vision, along with depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Hours and Travel
• Full-time, Monday through Friday (40+ hours per week).
• Travel up to 90% is required, including site visits and meetings with customers. Some evening and weekend work may be needed.

Required Qualifications
