The Director of Operations is responsible for supporting the Aerospace Business Unit with oversight of activities in production and manufacturing. This operations leadership position is a critical role and manages the New Port Richey Florida Plant of 400+ associates. In this role the Plant Manager will develop processes that will maximize safety, quality, productivity and followership for Manufacturing Operations, Facilities, Manufacturing Engineering, and Materials.
This position reports to the VP, Operations and is part of the Operations team located in New Port Richey Florida and will be an on-site role.
This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Responsible for achieving yearly Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity targets through effective and efficient Daily Management and KPI action plan development.
Builds a Winning Team by performing supervisory activities, including recruitment and selection, training and development, coaching, and administering performance and salary review processes for direct reports.
Ensure the KPIs and key goals are achieved and that manufacturing capacity meets the sales plan
Promotes and leads using DBS tools and lean concepts to improve manufacturability, productivity, yields, cost, process variation, and customer quality.
Maintain headcount, overtime, factory expenses and fiscal budgets set by annual budgets.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or Masters’ degree with 6+ years of experience - including 5+ years managing people. Experience must include Manufacturing and/or operating in an FAA or ISO-regulated industry.
Past experience with successful implementation of Continuous Improvements, Lean Manufacturing principles and practices, and have strong understanding CI tools and techniques along with experience of demonstrating sustained results.
Must possess a thorough understanding of the inter-relationship between manufacturing, engineering, materials, quality and purchasing.
Exceptional leadership, team building skills & focus on developing a safety culture.
Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, in addition to being results oriented, creative and self-motivated are required.
Strong financial background.
Demonstrated safety leadership capabilities and knowledge and experience
