Full Job Description
  • Hybrid based at our corporate office in Brentwood, TN, with on-site work required Monday through Wednesday for candidates in Nashville and surrounding areas.
  • Remote option available for candidates outside of surrounding areas.


The Director serves as a strategic partner to operators, providing the tools, frameworks, insights, and leadership necessary to improve productivity, quality, patient experience, and financial results. Through the application of continuous improvement methodologies and data-driven decision-making, this leader helps elevate operational maturity and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Drive Operational Excellence

  • Lead operational excellence initiatives that improve efficiency, service quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to improve productivity, resource utilization, and cost effectiveness.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, root-cause, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Develop and implement standardized processes, operating rhythms, and best practices that drive consistency and scalability.


Partner with Operators to Lead Change

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and problem-solving partner to operational leaders across markets and business units.
  • Provide coaching and facilitation to help leaders close performance gaps and improve outcomes.
  • Drive adoption of new processes, tools, and ways of working through effective change management.
  • Build relationships and influence change without direct authority, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.


Measure & Manage Performance

  • Develop and maintain operational metrics, scorecards, and dashboards that provide actionable insights.
  • Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support business reviews and track improvement initiatives to ensure sustainable results, presenting findings to senior leadership.


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in operations, operational excellence, business transformation, consulting, performance improvement, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated success leading operational improvement initiatives that deliver measurable business results.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Agile, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience partnering with operational leaders in a multi-site or distributed operating environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.


Preferred

  • Master's degree (MBA or related advanced degree).
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience in healthcare, healthcare services, or private equity-backed organizations.
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations and performance improvement programs.
  • Experience developing operational dashboards, KPIs, and performance management systems.
