The Opportunity:

Our client, a manufacturing company based in Virginia, is seeking a results-driven Director of Operational Excellence to lead continuous improvement and manufacturing optimization initiatives. This senior leadership role will drive company-wide performance by implementing best-in-class practices in Lean, Six Sigma, automation, EH&S, and business process management across multi-site and international operations.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead Operational Excellence initiatives across Lean, Six Sigma, manufacturing/industrial engineering, automation, EH&S, and manufacturing readiness.
  • Partner with leadership to identify and execute strategic improvement projects aligned with business goals.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement through Kaizen events and standardized practices.
  • Analyze and optimize manufacturing and business processes by eliminating waste and improving efficiency.
  • Drive cost-reduction strategies and support capital planning initiatives.
  • Establish and track KPIs, reporting progress and opportunities to senior leadership.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for OpEx across multiple sites, including international operations.
  • Ensure EH&S programs are integrated into all operational improvements and maintained at high standards.

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing experience with proven leadership in driving large-scale improvements.
