As the Director of Nursing at the Waters of Pewaukee, you'll be a key leader in the community, responsible for both the clinical and operational aspects of resident care. Your duties extend beyond direct patient care to include team management, quality assurance, and compliance.
You will work with an RN Case Manager and a dedicated Staff Scheduler.
Qualifications:- Current Registered Nurse licensure in good standing by the state community is located
- Previous experience in health care leadership, nursing administration or other related experience
- Knowledge of Eldermark software a plus
Clinical Leadership:- Resident Care Management: You'll oversee all aspects of resident care, including the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of personalized care plans. This involves conducting comprehensive assessments, collaborating with residents and their families, and coordinating care with other departments and external healthcare providers.
- Quality Assurance: You'll be the champion of high standards, ensuring all nursing practices comply with state and federal regulations. This includes conducting regular audits, implementing quality improvement initiatives, and maintaining a "survey-ready" environment at all times.
- Health and Wellness Programs: You will be responsible for creating and overseeing health-related programs that promote resident well-being. This can include anything from infection prevention protocols to educational sessions for residents and staff.
Operational Management:- Team Leadership: You'll be a hands-on manager, responsible for the full lifecycle of your nursing staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. You will be expected to foster a positive and collaborative work environment where your team feels valued and supported.
- Budget Oversight: You will manage the nursing department's budget, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently for staffing, supplies, and equipment.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: A large part of your role involves working with other departments like dining, housekeeping, and administration to ensure a seamless experience for residents and their families.
