The Director of Nursing is a member of the Hospital Administrative Team and is delegated the responsibility for the operation and administration of the following departments: Emergency Services, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Surgical Services. The Director of Nursing Assists the hospital president in the development of strategic planning and the formation of a marketing strategy for the hospital. Responsible for the planning development and implementation of new and/or existing programs and services consistent with the directives established by the Board of Directors and the hospital administration. Assumes Hospital Administrative call and reports to the system Chief Nursing Officer.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelors degree. Must have current RN license. Prefer Masters Degree or actively pursuing a Masters Degree.
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years experience in nursing administration management required.
- Required skills: Certification in Nursing Administration preferred. Current and active participation in at least two (2) professional organizations.
