Full Job Description
Atlantic Coast Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical department and oversee all nursing operations. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient care, managing clinical staff, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving continuous quality improvement within our healthcare environment.

Compensation:
  • $150,000-$160,000/ year and is determined by experience

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage the entire nursing department and clinical staff.
  • Ensure all resident care and nursing practices meet federal, state, and facility standards.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and maintaining required 24/7 staffing ratios.
  • Monitor care via daily rounds, enforce infection control, and investigate accidents.
  • Screen prospective residents to ensure the facility meets their care needs.
  • Partner with medical staff and other departments to ensure a supportive environment for residents.
  • Resolve complaints and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and the public.
  • Manage the nursing department budget and resources cost-effectively.
