Director of Nursing / Clinical Director

Always Best Care - Honolulu, HIPay: $120,000 - $145,000 per year Job Type: Full-time

Position Summary

The Clinical Director/Director of Patient Care Services leads the overall direction of our home health clinical services - setting and evaluating goals that meet quality standards and support our mission. This role also serves as Clinical Manager for purposes of meeting Medicare Conditions of Participation.

What You'll Do
  • Oversee all direct and indirect patient care services
  • Guide and mentor Clinical Supervisors and coordinators
  • Support patient/family assessment, planning, and care evaluation
  • Assist with budget preparation and administration
  • Monitor census and volume trends impacting staffing and revenue
  • Hire, evaluate, and manage clinical personnel
  • Conduct annual (or more frequent) clinical performance evaluations
  • Oversee clinical records compliance with local, state, and federal law
  • Manage inventory/equipment needed for patient services
  • Develop and run new-hire orientation and ongoing in-service training
  • Drive performance improvement and quality/safety initiatives
  • Develop and recommend agency policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with licensure, certification, and ACHC Home Care standards
  • Stay current on nursing and home health regulations/best practices
  • Promote referrals within the healthcare community
  • Step in as acting Executive Director/Administrator when needed
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Bring
  • Active RN license in Hawaii (or licensed physician)
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or Medicine) from an accredited program; Master's in healthcare preferred
  • 3+ years management experience in home health or related healthcare setting
  • Proven ability to supervise and direct clinical/administrative staff
  • Strong communication skills - verbal, written, and interpersonal
  • Working knowledge of business management, government regulations, and ACHC standards
  • Comfortable representing the agency to clients, partners, and the community
