Director of Nursing (DON)Altamaha Health Center | Jesup, GAThe Director of Nursing provides
clinical leadership and oversight, ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, effective staffing, and strong coordination across departments. The DON leads the nursing team while fostering a culture of compassion, accountability, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee all clinical and nursing services.
- Ensure resident care meets or exceeds company, state, and federal standards.
- Conduct regular rounds and monitor quality of care and resident outcomes.
- Oversee clinical documentation, medications, treatments, and records.
- Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and retain qualified nursing staff.
- Develop staffing plans and schedules based on resident needs and budget.
- Evaluate current and prospective residents to ensure appropriate levels of care.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director and interdisciplinary teams.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and support state/federal surveys.
- Monitor nursing performance and departmental budgets.
- Ensure timely completion of required documentation and reports.
- Promote a culture centered on quality, safety, dignity, and resident well-being.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Current Georgia RN license in good standing
- 3-5 years of Director of Nursing experience
- Strong clinical leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Must meet all applicable state and local health requirements, including background and reference checks
