DescriptionThe Director of Nursing directs organization-wide clinical quality programs, regulatory compliance initiatives, infection prevention activities, nursing quality oversight, staff education, and performance improvement efforts to ensure the delivery of safe, compliant, and high-quality patient care throughout Mountain Park Health Center.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Provides leadership, mentorship, professional development, and performance management for the Immunization Program Manager, Registered Nurse Manager, Clinical Quality Coordinator Manager, HIV CRC Program Manager, and other assigned staff, ensuring departmental processes and procedures align with Mountain Park Health Center standards and strategic objectives.
- Oversees the development, review, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures related to clinical quality, nursing services, immunizations, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance.
- Acts as a resource for programs that provide education and training for clinical support staff, ensuring adherence to organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based practices.
- Ensures the training, competency validation, and ongoing compliance of clinical support staff performing CLIA-waived testing in accordance with requirements established by The Joint Commission, OSHA, state regulatory agencies, and other applicable governing bodies.
- Ensures enforcement of patient safety standards, National Patient Safety Goals, risk management initiatives, and workplace safety requirements throughout clinical operations.
- Provides oversight of the Infection Prevention and Control Program in the role of Infection Control Officer, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and implementation of best practices across all clinical departments.
- In collaboration with the CMO, maintains organizational readiness for accreditation and regulatory surveys by ensuring leadership and staff remain knowledgeable regarding The Joint Commission standards and other applicable clinical, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Participates in organizational strategic planning, critical decision-making, and long-term quality improvement initiatives designed to improve patient outcomes, operational effectiveness, and overall clinical performance.
- Serves as the clinical quality liaison between the Chief Medical Officer and operational departments, facilitating communication, collaboration, and alignment of quality initiatives across the organization.
- Provides oversight and direction to Clinic Registered Nurses to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality telephone triage services consistent with clinical standards and best practices.
- Leads quality improvement activities through the analysis of performance metrics, identification of improvement opportunities, and implementation of evidence-based interventions that support organizational quality goals.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Four (4) years of leadership experience.
- AZ Registered Nurse License in good standing.
Preferred Qualifications:- Master's degree in nursing or healthcare administration.
