Full Job Description
SUMMARY

Responsible for the design, development and management of a comprehensive property & casualty claims management practice to service existing financial institution clients, account teams and assist in securing new clients. Oversee management of claims staff on a national basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead complex claim resolutions on our large Crystal FI and AMPS clients.

Lead large complex transactional risk claims for mergers and acquisitions.

Author white papers pertaining to recent court rulings, and other legal and business trends.

Support product development and policy wording initiatives (e.g. manuscript policy forms, endorsements, etc.)

Support growth initiatives and actively participate in large middle market and large market sales pitches and requests for proposals.

Develop and oversee marketing, coordination, and delivery of claims management services to clients and prospects.

Establish best practices including standard claims services, assigned adjusters, investigators, and defense counsel.

Design and draft complex claims strategy and coverage positions for large complex construction claims.

Oversee litigation management strategies on behalf of carrier partners and clients.

Responsible for managing claims staff, including motivating/mentoring staff, providing employee training and development, conducting performance reviews and performing disciplinary action as appropriate.

Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information).

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

JD strongly preferred

Twelve (12) or more years' related work experience, brokerage or carrier

Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)

Associate in Claims-American Institute for Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters (AICPU)

Accredited Accounts Receivable Manager (ARM)

Valid Fire and Casualty Broker - Agent license

SKILLS

In depth knowledge of all commonly encountered P&C insurance coverage and Risk Management concepts and techniques

Interdisciplinary knowledge of coverage, claims and safety

Proficient in Microsoft Office products

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent leadership, problem solving and time management skills

Advanced analytical skills

Excellent planning, organizational and prioritization skills

Ability to articulate to top-level management in order to influence positive results
