Role Overview The Director of Marketing, HSCT is responsible for leading the development and execution of marketing strategy, customer messaging, promotional campaigns, and field resources for Medexus' HSCT portfolio, with an initial focus on GRAFAPEX and future HSCT brands as the portfolio evolves. Working closely with the Vice President, Hemato-Oncology, this role translates the annual Brand Plan into integrated marketing plans, promotional initiatives, and customer-facing resources that support appropriate product adoption and business growth. This includes coordinating approved messaging and promotional programs across relevant customer engagement channels, including field, digital, congress, speaker programs, and other approved touchpoints.
The Director also supports the annual brand planning process by coordinating cross-functional inputs, helping identify gaps and interdependencies, and supporting the development of a cohesive brand plan for review and alignment with the Vice President, Hemato-Oncology. This includes working with Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Commercial Operations, Finance, Regulatory, Legal, and Compliance to ensure functional inputs are appropriately reflected in the overall planning process.
The Director leads the Marketing function, manages external agency partners, and works cross-functionally to deliver high-quality, compliant marketing programs and materials. The Director will also support product, portfolio, and corporate brand consistency by helping ensure clear messaging, visual identity, and marketing communications across Medexus' evolving HSCT portfolio and broader company materials.
Key Responsibilities Marketing Strategy and Brand Leadership- Partner with the Vice President, Hemato-Oncology to develop and execute the annual Brand Plan, and lead marketing strategy, priorities, positioning, customer narrative, assumptions, and resource needs for GRAFAPEX and future HSCT brands.
- Translate brand priorities into integrated campaigns and engagement programs that support appropriate adoption, business growth, product launch readiness, lifecycle management, and annual commercial planning.
- Recommend strategy and execution adjustments based on customer feedback, field insights, competitive intelligence, market trends, and performance data, while maintaining alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Marketing Programs and Field Resources- Lead omnichannel planning with the cross-functional teams and assure marketing execution by coordinating approved messaging, promotional campaigns, and customer-facing resources across field, digital, congress, speaker program, and other relevant customer engagement channels.
- Partner with Sales and field leadership to identify customer needs, objections, and resource gaps, and support consistent execution through visual aids, leave-behinds, Lunch and Learn materials, sales tools, congress resources, and field meeting content.
- Oversee management of agencies, creative partners, and promotional vendors to deliver high-quality programs and materials on time and within budget
Brand Planning and Cross-Functional Coordination- Coordinate inputs, timelines, templates, and planning materials across Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Commercial Operations, Finance, Analytics, Regulatory, Legal, and Compliance.
- Consolidate cross-functional inputs into cohesive brand plans covering situation analysis, strategic priorities, objectives, tactics, KPIs, forecast assumptions, budget requirements, and execution needs. Identify gaps, dependencies, or misalignment, and elevate decisions as needed.
- Guide promotional materials through appropriate Medical, Legal and Regulatory review, ensuring approved scientific evidence and access or value messaging are accurately represented.
Portfolio, Team, and Performance Leadership- Maintain consistent product and portfolio positioning, visual identity, and brand standards across promotional, digital, conference, executive, and other marketing communications.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Marketing Manager and Marketing Coordinator. Set clear priorities and performance expectations, delegate effectively, and build scalable, collaborative ways of working.
- Monitor marketing performance and market insights, improve programs and processes, manage the marketing budget, and support forecasting, commercial planning, and return on investment.
Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or a related discipline required.
- MBA or advanced degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related discipline preferred.
- 8-10 years of progressive pharmaceutical or biotechnology commercial experience, including experience in hematology, oncology, transplant, cell therapy, or other highly specialized institutional markets.
- Direct experience in HSCT, BMT, transplant, cell therapy, or closely related therapeutic areas strongly preferred.
- Previous people leadership experience, including coaching and developing marketing professionals.
- Demonstrated experience leading pharmaceutical brand marketing, promotional strategy, product positioning, and customer messaging.
- Experience developing HCP marketing strategies, promotional campaigns, customer-facing materials, and field resources.
- Experience supporting annual brand planning, including coordination of cross-functional inputs and development of integrated brand plan materials.
- Experience supporting products in specialized institutional, account-based, or hospital-based commercial models.
- Experience supporting product launch planning, lifecycle management, and annual commercial planning.
- Experience working through Medical, Legal and Regulatory review processes.
- Experience managing agencies, vendors, marketing budgets, and cross-functional project timelines.
- Understanding of omnichannel principles and the ability to coordinate consistent customer messaging across field, digital, congress, speaker program, website, and other promotional channels.
- Ability to consolidate complex cross-functional inputs into clear, organized, and actionable planning materials.
Additional Information: - Base salary range: $220K - $280K
- Travel or other requirements: Remote position with occasional travel as needed

Compensation
$220,000.00 - $280,000.00 per year
