Job DescriptionJob Summary (Role Overview):AI is remaking how marketing gets done. Belkin is creating a new executive seat to lead that transformation: Director of Marketing AI, reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer.
The role covers the full range of marketing work: the website, newsletter and lifecycle programs, social content, retail media, product-page creative across thousands of SKUs, localization, insight generation, and the operational workflows that connect all of it. Wherever AI can make a marketing workflow faster or more scalable, it is yours to rework, while keeping human judgment and brand craft where they matter most.
This is a build role. You will write the strategy, stand up the operating model, choose the tools, install the governance and ship the production. Then comes the standardization of making a global marketing organization fluent in a new way of working. You will start with real advantages: a premium brand with rare shelf presence at Apple, a deep global catalog that rewards automation, first-party owner and registration data and an ambitious executive team. What you build with them is the job.
Specific Responsibilities:- Own Belkin's marketing-AI strategy end to end: a use-case roadmap sequenced by measurable return and a three-year capability plan.
- Transform owned channels: belkin.com experience, testing and conversion, plus newsletter and email/SMS programs rebuilt around AI-assisted segmentation, creative generation and journey optimization.
- Enable an AI-accelerated social and creator program: listening and trend intelligence, platform-tuned variant production and creator-program operations, raising output and consistency without losing the brand's voice.
- Apply AI in retail media and marketplaces, where most customers make buying decisions: marketplace listing and content automation, retail-media bidding and budget allocation and measurement across Amazon and major retail networks.
- Deploy agents and copilots against marketing's highest-friction workflows, with clear standards, adoption tracking and human-in-the-loop controls as autonomy matures.
- Partner with IT and Data on the customer-data foundation, martech roadmap and a measurement approach built on marketing-mix modeling and incrementality testing, so every AI initiative is judged on validated lift rather than platform-reported numbers.
- Establish marketing-AI governance from day one: model and vendor standards, IP and training-data provenance, brand safety, privacy and consent and synthetic-content disclosure aligned to recognized frameworks (NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, EU AI Act).
- Build and lead a small, senior central team plus a network of embedded champions across brand, performance, lifecycle and regional marketing, spreading capability so the wider organization becomes fluent.
- Work with regional offices to ensure AI-generated content and localization stay consistent with global corporate positioning and messaging.
- Be a thought-partner with members of senior executive management.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Understand and follow company rules and regulations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned and required.
Education and Experience Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 10+ years of marketing AI and/or web technology experience.
- Proven production AI results, not pilots: has put generative AI into live marketing workflows (creative, lifecycle, media, or operations) and can walk through what shipped, what it cost, what it returned and what was shut down.
- Personal AI fluency: prototypes with LLMs, APIs, and agent tooling firsthand and can evaluate products without relying on vendor demos.
- Zero-to-one leadership: has built functions from scratch, including hiring talent, designing operating models and leading change.
- Measurement rigor: insists on baselines, holdouts and incrementality before any ROI claim, and can defend that standard to a CFO.
- Working knowledge of AI risk and compliance frameworks with sound judgment on brand, IP and privacy risk.
- Strong executive communication: can explain consequential technical choices clearly to a board, retail partner, engineer or creative team.
