Job Summary

Job Description

Medline is seeking a Director of Manufacturing to lead its ReadyCare manufacturing site in Waukegan, ILL through a significant operational and regulatory transformation. This highly visible role will oversee approximately 150 employees across three shifts while helping reposition the facility as a full-cycle pharmaceutical manufacturing operation.

The site manufactures medical wipes, including CHG products, within a regulated, moderately automated environment. With significant investment, new leadership, and external expertise already in place, the Director will play a central role in strengthening pharmaceutical operating practices, supporting regulatory remediation, implementing a sustainable drug-quality management system, and returning key products to market.

This is an opportunity for an experienced pharmaceutical manufacturing leader to transform an operation, build long-term capability, and potentially influence Medline’s broader drug-manufacturing network.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership for manufacturing, warehouse, supply chain and facilities operations.

  • Lead the site’s transformation into a pharmaceutical manufacturing operation grounded in cGMP requirements and strong operating discipline.

  • Partner closely with Quality, Regulatory and external experts to support FDA remediation, inspection readiness and sustainable compliance.

  • Lead manufacturing readiness and the successful restart and ramp-up of key product lines.

  • Establish clear performance expectations and drive improvement across safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity and equipment reliability.

  • Strengthen manufacturing processes, continuous-improvement practices, predictive maintenance and employee-training programs.

  • Build, develop and engage a high-performing leadership team and predominantly hourly workforce.

  • Lead change management across systems, processes, behaviors and organizational culture.

  • Manage capital expenditures and support future manufacturing-line expansion.

  • Ensure effective inventory control and the accurate receipt, storage and movement of materials.

  • Maintain a safe, clean and secure workplace while ensuring compliance with all applicable safety procedures.

  • Partner with Quality and other functional leaders to investigate and resolve product
