Description

The Director of Key Accounts- Bay Alarm is responsible for building and growing strategic relationships with DMP's most important channel partners, serving as a trusted advisor and primary business contact. This role focuses on driving partner success through proactive account management, business development, solution alignment, and executive-level relationship building. The Key Account Manager works closely with sales, product management, technical support, training, and marketing teams to identify growth opportunities, increase adoption of DMP solutions, and ensure a superior customer experience. Success in this position requires a strong understanding of the electronic security industry, excellent communication and consultative selling skills, and the ability to develop account strategies that increase revenue, strengthen partner loyalty, and support DMP's long-term business objectives.

Qualifications:
  • Sales executive with ten or more years of sales and territory management experience and at least two years' working in a sales staff management capacity.
  • Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower teams to achieve objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal and persuasive skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including excellent public speaking skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively.
  • Self-motivated; capable of working without direct supervision.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
The specific task responsibility is to produce top-line sales revenue as outlined in the current Business Plan for the critical accounts. The sales goals will vary from year to year consistent with the DMP corporate business plan.

General responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  1. Create incremental revenue by developing pull through sales in assigned key accounts.
  2. Identify, document, and maintain current information on competitive products deployed within key customer accounts to support DMP product category strategies, strengthen competitive positioning and differentiation, and inform solution development and sales engagement.
  3. Provide leadership and support to the sales department, while maintaining focus on the company's strategic goals.
  4. Work directly with the Director of Sales to establish strategies, tactics and go to market plans for sales for the entire company.
  5. Maintain a high level of communication with Directors and RSM's to ensure overall company success.
  6. Develop, maintain, and improve business relations with Key Accounts.
  7. Keep leadership informed by preparing, reviewing, and submitting activity regional reports, pipeline reports, and regional analyses.
  8. Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to leadership.
  9. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  10. Observes and adheres to DMP Data Classification Standard.
  11. Conduct daily business and represent DMP following published company Mission & Values and in compliance with all company policies and departmental guidelines.
