This includes developing and implementing HR policies, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and collaborate with administrators, teachers, staff, and external partners.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in related field, preferred
- Minimum of five years of successful Human Resources leadership experience, preferably in a school environment
- Knowledge of federal and Arizona state laws related to personnel law
Core Job Functions: - Develop regulations, procedures and plans which reflect Board policy and provide maximum efficiency to support the educational program.
- Serve on and chair committees at the discretion of the Superintendent.
- Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with administrators and other stakeholders to ensure policies align with district
- Provide guidance, training, and support to administrators and employees on HR-related matters, including conflict resolution, employee relations, and performance management.
- Conduct investigations and resolve employee complaints in a fair and timely manner.
- Oversee payroll processing, including salary and benefit administration.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to payroll and benefits.
- Ensure district compliance with state and federal regulations, including Title IX, FERPA, and ADA.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and liabilities related to HR and payroll functions.
- Provide leadership and guidance to HR and payroll staff.
- Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and staff to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Analyze HR and payroll data to inform district decision-making.
- Prepare and present reports to the Superintendent, Board of Education, and other stakeholders.
- Keep current with educational developments and literature in the field of education and participate in the affairs of state and national professional societies devoted to the advancement of public education.
- Set high standards of performance for self and others. Attend meetings and conferences which promote professional growth and will benefit the district.
- Maintain communication with other agencies and school districts to share and receive information of effective practices and extended support.
