Central Union High School District is seeking an accomplished, strategic, and people-centered Executive Director of Human Resources to serve as a trusted member of the District's leadership team and lead the interconnected functions of Human Resources and Payroll.
This pivotal position provides strategic leadership for the District's people and workforce operations-from attracting and developing exceptional employees to ensuring they are supported, valued, and accurately compensated. The Executive Director oversees Human Resources and Payroll, providing direction in talent acquisition, employee relations, labor relations, classification and compensation, benefits, compliance, employee development, payroll operations, and organizational effectiveness.
We are seeking an innovative and collaborative leader who understands that strong people practices and strong operational systems are essential to a high-performing school district. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional leadership, sound judgment, financial and operational acumen, and a deep understanding of public-sector employment practices. They will be a trusted advisor to the Superintendent and leadership team, a thoughtful partner to employee groups and District leaders, and a champion for a culture built on integrity, accountability, service, and respect.
