Full Job Description
Director of Growth & Strategic Partnerships

Senior Living & Skilled Nursing | Contract Therapy

Location: Remote / In-Office / Hybrid / Regional Travel
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking a Director of Growth & Strategic Partnerships to lead the development and expansion of strategic relationships with senior living communities, skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), regional operators, ownership groups, and other post-acute healthcare organizations.

This is a relationship-first growth position. The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys meeting people, developing trust, understanding an organization's challenges, and creating partnerships that provide long-term value.

Rather than simply selling a service, this individual will serve as a strategic partner and ambassador for our organization, identifying opportunities to connect with healthcare leaders, building our brand within the market, developing referral and partnership channels, and guiding prospective partners from initial relationship through successful engagement.

The Director of Growth & Strategic Partnerships will work closely with executive, clinical, and operational leadership to identify opportunities, develop customized partnership strategies, and ensure a strong experience from the first conversation through implementation and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth & Partnerships

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy focused on senior living communities, skilled nursing facilities, regional healthcare operators, and ownership groups.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with facility administrators, executive directors, owners, regional leaders, operators, and other healthcare decision-makers.
  • Identify organizations and market opportunities that align with the company's strategic growth objectives.
  • Develop relationships with key decision-makers well before a specific sales opportunity exists, creating a strong pipeline of future partnerships.
  • Understand the clinical, operational, financial, and organizational needs of prospective partners and connect those needs to appropriate solutions.
  • Develop customized partnership strategies rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all sales approach.
  • Cultivate relationships that lead to new business, referrals, strategic alliances, and expanded market opportunities.

Relationship Building & Community Engagement

  • Become a trusted and visible resource within the local and regional post-acute healthcare community.
  • Establish relationships with senior living and skilled nursing leadership through in-person meetings, networking, community involvement, educational events, and industry organizations.
  • Represent the company at healthcare conferences, trade shows, association meetings, networking events, and community events.
  • Develop relationships with organizations and professionals who influence post-acute care decisions, including healthcare executives, consultants, vendors, referral partners, and community leaders.
  • Maintain consistent communication with prospective and existing partners to strengthen relationships and identify emerging opportunities.
  • Create meaningful touchpoints that keep the company top-of-mind within the market.

Marketing & Brand Growth

  • Partner with leadership and marketing to develop campaigns and initiatives that increase awareness of the company among senior living and skilled nursing decision-makers.
  • Help develop educational content, presentations, events, outreach campaigns, and other initiatives that position the company as a knowledgeable and trusted resource in post-acute care.
  • Identify opportunities to increase brand visibility within targeted healthcare markets and communities.
  • Leverage networking, social media, email outreach, community engagement, and industry events to create new relationship opportunities.
  • Develop creative strategies to generate awareness and establish the company as a preferred therapy partner.
  • Track the effectiveness of marketing and outreach initiatives and continually refine strategies based on results.

Business Development & Growth Execution

  • Manage the partnership pipeline from initial prospect identification and relationship development through opportunity creation, contract execution, and onboarding.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic pipeline of prospective partners using CRM and other business development tools.
  • Coordinate with clinical, operations, and executive leadership to develop compelling partnership proposals.
  • Present the company's contract therapy solutions in a way that clearly demonstrates clinical, operational, and financial value.
  • Participate in contract negotiations and help move opportunities toward successful completion.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless transition from partnership development to implementation.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, industry developments, and emerging opportunities within post-acute care.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators related to relationship development, pipeline growth, partnership acquisition, and revenue growth.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a connector, relationship builder, and strategic thinker who is energized by meeting people and creating opportunities.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Understand that successful partnerships are built through trust, consistency, credibility, and follow-through.
  • Be comfortable initiating conversations and developing relationships from the ground up.
  • Possess strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Think strategically while being willing to personally execute the activities necessary to generate growth.
  • Be creative and entrepreneurial in identifying new partnership and marketing opportunities.
  • Have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple relationships and opportunities simultaneously.
  • Be comfortable representing the company publicly and serving as a brand ambassador within the healthcare community.
  • Be motivated by measurable growth while maintaining a long-term relationship mindset.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

  • Experience working with Skilled Nursing Facilities, senior living communities, regional chains, ownership groups, or healthcare organizations preferred.
  • Strong understanding of SNF operations, therapy services, healthcare reimbursement, and the challenges facing post-acute providers preferred.
  • Experience with contract therapy, MDS services, or related healthcare solutions is a plus.
  • Understanding of healthcare compliance and regulatory considerations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage a pipeline from relationship development through partnership execution.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation abilities.
  • Willingness to travel throughout an assigned regional territory for meetings, networking, events, and community engagement.

Key measures may include:

  • Growth in qualified strategic partnerships
  • New facility and organization relationships
