What you will have an opportunity to do:
At Willows Lodge, food and beverage is at the heart of the guest experience. We are looking for a Director of Food and Beverage who can lead with confidence, stay close to the floor, and bring out the best in an incredibly talented team.
This role oversees the front of house operations for Barking Frog, Fireside Lounge, and in-room dining. It is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands fine dining, knows how to build a strong service culture, and can balance an exceptional guest experience with smart business decisions.
WHAT YOU WILL DO- Lead the daily front of house operations for Barking Frog, Fireside Lounge, and in-room dining
- Set the tone for warm, polished, and memorable service
- Coach, develop, and hold restaurant and wine leaders accountable
- Stay visible and engaged during service, stepping in wherever leadership is needed
- Create schedules, oversee payroll, and ensure appropriate meal and rest periods
- Build and maintain training programs and clear service standards
- Lead pre-shift meetings that prepare and motivate the team
- Manage departmental budgets, revenue goals, expenses, purchasing, and inventory
- Review financial results and make thoughtful adjustments to improve performance
- Oversee front of house supplies, equipment, china, glassware, and silverware
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and direction
- Partner closely with culinary, hotel, spa, sales, and senior leadership
- Participate in hotel events, employee functions, and community activities
- Serve as Manager on Duty when needed
COMPENSATION- Salary range: $135,000-$145,000, depending on experience and education
- Discretionary match on 401(k), participation-eligible after 1 year

WHAT YOU BRING- Strong food, wine, beer, and spirits knowledge
- Fine dining restaurant or luxury hotel experience
- A genuine love of hospitality and taking care of people
- The ability to lead calmly and confidently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong financial awareness and experience managing budgets and expenses
- Excellent communication, organization, and decision-making skills
- A sharp eye for detail and a high standard for service
- Experience coaching, scheduling, supervising, and developing employees
- The ability to delegate effectively while remaining connected to the work
- Curiosity about new ideas, service trends, and opportunities to improve
- Confidence presenting information and working with employees, guests, vendors, and senior leaders
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE- Five years of related leadership experience in a luxury setting
- Experience leading a beverage program
- Sommelier certification or an equivalent level of wine knowledge
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS- Current Washington State Food Worker Card
- Current Washington State Alcohol Server Permit
