Lead Food & Beverage at One of Orlando's Premier Resort Destinations

Paramount Hospitality Management is seeking an experienced Director of Food & Beverage to lead the dining, beverage, and banquet operations at the Wyndham I-Drive Avanti Resort, a 652-room, full-service resort with 20,000+ square feet of meeting and event space in the heart of Orlando's tourism and convention district.

This is more than a management position it's an opportunity to shape the culinary direction of one of Orlando's busiest convention and resort destination. You'll oversee multiple food and beverage outlets, lead a team, collaborate with the Kitchen Staff on innovative menus, and create exceptional guest experiences for thousands of travelers, groups, conventions, weddings, and special events each year.
What You'll Do
  • Provide strategic leadership for all Food & Beverage and Banquet operations.
  • Lead a diverse team while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and exceptional guest service.
  • Collaborate with the Kitchen Staff to develop creative, seasonal, and revenue-generating menus that enhance the guest experience.
  • Drive innovation by introducing new food, beverage, cocktail, and promotional concepts.
  • Oversee high-volume banquet and convention operations, ensuring flawless execution of weddings, corporate meetings, conferences, and special events.
  • Serve as the primary operational contact for large groups and banquet functions.
  • Deliver exceptional guest satisfaction while achieving financial goals.
  • Analyze financial performance, monitor P&L statements, and implement strategies to improve profitability.
  • Manage labor costs, food costs, beverage costs, inventory, purchasing, and waste reduction.
  • Negotiate with vendors and ensure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
  • Partner with Sales, Catering, Marketing, and Operations to maximize banquet and outlet revenue.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, health regulations, safety requirements, and company policies.
  • Recruit, train, coach, mentor, and develop department leaders and hourly Team Members.
  • Create an engaging culture focused on teamwork, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive Food & Beverage leadership experience within a full-service hotel or resort environment (Required).
  • Significant experience overseeing hotel banquet and convention operations with large group business.
  • Experience managing multiple Food & Beverage outlets simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to lead high-volume operations while maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, P&Ls, labor, and cost controls.
  • Demonstrated success developing teams, improving service standards, and increasing profitability.
  • Experience creating innovative menus, promotions, and revenue-generating food and beverage concepts.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced resort environment with significant group and convention business.

Pay Range: $88,000 - $95,000 per year
