Director, FP&A Process and Insights

The Director, FP&A Process and Insights shapes the operating foundation that connects financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and enterprise decision-making. This role drives standardized FP&A processes, data lineage, and governance to improve financial transparency and enable scalable analytics capabilities. Through close partnership across Finance, Accounting, Data, and Technology teams, the role helps deliver trusted insights that support business performance.

How you will make an impact:
  • Lead enterprise FP&A process design and mapping across planning, forecasting, and reporting cycles.
  • Establish standardized process frameworks that improve consistency, scalability, traceability, and transparency.
  • Drive process redesign initiatives that address gaps, inefficiencies, and fragmented workflows.
  • Define business requirements that align FP&A processes with planning platforms, ERP systems, and data technologies.
  • Align FP&A processes and data models with analytics, automation, predictive modeling, and AI initiatives.
  • Deliver executive dashboards, KPIs, and standardized performance reporting across regions and business units.
  • Lead governance, assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on process integrity, standardization, and automation.

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in FP&A, business analytics, or finance transformation with application of reporting, financial analysis, and process optimization.
  • Application of analytics, transformation, and technology enablement within finance organizations.
  • Utilization of Anaplan, Power BI or Tableau, Snowflake, and Advanced Excel.

Pay Range:

The annual pay range for this position is CAD $ 140,000 - $180,000.
The annual pay range for this position in US is USD $ 160,000 - $210,000.

Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.

Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
