Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership in support of achieving organizational goals, inclusive of major capital projects, engineering excellence and support to plant operations.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Lead and support the culture of our people through facilitation of a safe work environment and team member communication, development and engagement.
  • Ensure strong execution standards for direct plant and project engineers, including contractor management in the areas of safety behaviors, installation quality, and commissioning readiness.
  • Provide engineering leadership and technical support for MCC process optimization with an emphasis on safety, quality, change management principles, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement systems.
  • Execute continuous improvement projects that improve capacity, system performance (downtime reduction), waste elimination and capability across the enterprise.
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA, USDA, FDA and other identified safety & quality compliance regulations.
  • Support and lead MCC's Mission, Vision and Values Advancement in the areas of Integrity, Innovation, Excellence, Collaboration and Accountability.
  • Manage multiple concurrent capital projects, balancing priorities, resources, and timelines across a network of manufacturing facilities.
  • Instill a high sense of urgency and accountability to deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and meeting technical performance requirements.
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional team to ensure alignment and a robust decision making process.
  • Ownership of manufacturing asset inventories to ensure proper asset utilization and equipment lifecycle management.
  • Provide leadership and execution for technical solutions in the areas of sustainability.
  • Support Financial improvements in the areas of capital spend, operations, business growth and service.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelors degree in mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or a related field, plus 10 years of progressive experience in a Ready To Eat food packaging environment in a large plant or multi-plant organization
  • Engagement that is consistent with company's core values
