STV is seeking experienced communications professional to join our national Outreach & Engagement Strategies team.
The engagement team supports clients with communications and engagement strategy, working with clients and project teams to navigate high-visibility programs and evolving expectations around stakeholder engagement, communications, and public trust. We are helping shape how agencies communicate, align stakeholders, and deliver critical projects.
We guide clients through critical moments across the project lifecycle, through planning, design and construction, shaping how projects are introduced, understood, and experienced by the communities they serve.
Our team operates at both the program and project level, bringing structure, alignment, and strategic insight to infrastructure programs. The Director of Engagement will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding multidisciplinary teams through complex delivery environments.
Responsibilities- Lead program-level communications and stakeholder engagement strategies for major infrastructure programs
- Serve as a trusted advisor to agency leadership on messaging, stakeholder alignment, construction communications, and engagement approaches
- Develop engagement strategies and messaging frameworks that align across multiple projects, phases, and stakeholders
- Translate complex technical information into communications that build understanding and trust
- Strengthen coordination across technical teams, communications staff, and client stakeholders to support aligned delivery
- Manage scope, schedule, and performance across multiple concurrent efforts
- Lead and support business development efforts, including pursuits and proposals
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Planning, Business, or related field
- 15+ years of experience supporting major infrastructure programs
- Transportation program client experience at the federal, municipal and/or state level
- Demonstrated leadership delivering complex communications and stakeholder engagement programs
- Ability to operate at both the strategic and execution level
- Strong writing, editing, and strategic planning skills
- Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) is preferred
Compensation Range:
$226,929.13 - $252,143.48
