Full Job Description
The IT Division is in need of a Director of Network Infrastructure and Security who will be responsible for the design, planning, implementation, and management of the organization's network infrastructure with a primary focus on Cisco. Overseeing a team of 4 Technical staff responsible for all our Local and Wide area networks, Routers, Switches, Carrier agreements, IP schemes, Wireless networks and Firewall security. Responsible for 24x7 support and coverage across all DOC operations and facilities in the City of NY.

Preferred Skills:

-5 plus years of experience overseeing staff supporting, maintaining, configuring and installing Cisco
network routers and switches in a very large, distributed environment.
-3 plus years of individual experience supporting, maintaining, configuring and installing Cisco
network equipment.
-Knowledge and experience with multicasting and IP video transmission.
-Knowledge and experience supporting, maintaining and configuring Checkpoint Firewalls.
-Knowledge and experience with Virtual networks, NSX.
-Strong leadership, communication and project management skills
-Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities and projects.
-Cisco and Checkpoint Certifications Required.

Qualifications

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to projects and policies required by the particular position; or,

Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.
