What You'll DoAs the Director of Critical Care, you will:
- Provide operational, clinical, and strategic leadership for the Critical Care department.
- Lead and develop nursing leaders and staff while fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.
- Ensure delivery of safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and department productivity.
- Monitor and improve quality indicators including infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Partner with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and operational performance.
- Lead department initiatives focused on quality improvement, employee engagement, and patient satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, Illinois Department of Public Health, and hospital standards.
QualificationsRequired- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Minimum five (5) years of progressive nursing leadership experience in an acute care hospital
- Minimum three (3) years of leadership experience within a Critical Care or Intensive Care setting
Preferred- Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification
- Nurse Executive Certification (NE-BC or NEA-BC)
- Experience with regulatory surveys, quality improvement initiatives, and budget management
