Position: Full-Time | Director-Level Clinical Leadership

Arbor Therapy is seeking a Director of Clinical Excellence & Development to lead clinician development, mentorship, clinical training, and student clinical rotations across our growing organization.

This is a unique leadership opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist who wants to make an organization-wide impact without moving into billing, financial, or traditional clinic operations.

You will help shape the clinician experience from the very beginning - developing students during their clinical rotations, supporting new clinicians through onboarding, strengthening therapists through mentorship and professional development, and helping identify Arbor Therapy's future clinical leaders.
What You'll Lead
Clinical Excellence & Development
  • Serve as a senior clinical resource for therapists, Practice Managers, and leadership.
  • Strengthen clinical consistency and evidence-based practice across Arbor Therapy locations.
  • Identify clinical development needs and create resources, education, and initiatives to address them.
  • Support clinical reasoning, skill development, and continued professional growth.
Clinician Onboarding & Training
  • Lead and continuously improve clinician onboarding.
  • Develop clinical competency frameworks and training resources.
  • Create scalable training and development systems that support organizational growth.
  • Ensure clinicians have the support and resources needed to succeed.
Mentorship & Professional Growth
  • Lead Arbor Therapy's clinician mentorship program.
  • Support mentors and clinicians at varying stages of their careers.
  • Help clinicians identify opportunities for continued growth and development.
  • Identify and help develop emerging clinical leaders.
Student Clinical Rotations & Future Talent
  • Lead Arbor Therapy's student clinical rotation program as an important future hiring pipeline.
  • Match students with the appropriate mentor/provider based on discipline, experience, learning needs, and clinical environment.
  • Support mentors and students throughout the rotation experience.
  • Ensure mid-rotation and end-of-rotation assessments are completed.
  • Evaluate student performance, professionalism, coachability, values alignment, and overall culture fit.
  • Partner with clinical leaders and HR to identify exceptional students who may be a strong fit for future employment with Arbor Therapy.
Clinician Engagement & Retention
  • Partner with leadership and Practice Managers to identify opportunities to strengthen clinician engagement and retention.
  • Use clinician feedback to improve onboarding, mentorship, training, and professional-development programs.
  • Help create an environment where excellent clinicians want to grow their careers.
What We're Looking For
  • Active Arizona license as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in good standing
  • Minimum 5 years of pediatric clinical experience; 7+ years preferred
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, supervising, or developing clinicians
  • Strong clinical judgment and leadership skills
  • Experience developing onboarding, training, competency, mentorship, or professional-development programs preferred
  • Student supervision or clinical rotation experience preferred
  • Multi-site leadership experience is a plus
  • Strong communicator who can build relationships across disciplines, locations, and leadership levels
  • A systems-minded leader who can turn great ideas into consistent, scalable programs

You will have the opportunity to influence clinical excellence, therapist development, mentorship, retention, and the future clinician pipeline across Arbor Therapy.

Compensation

Base Salary: $105,000-$115,000 annually

This position is also eligible for an annual performance incentive of up to 10% of base salary, based on established clinical development and organizational goals.
