Job Title: Director of Claims Operations

Reports to: AVP of Claims

Direct Reports: Claims Operations and Claims Administration teams

Location: Jacksonville Office

Position type: Full-Time

FLSA Status: Exempt, Salaried

Normal Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM

As the Director of Claims Operations, you'll lead the strategies, people, and processes that keep our Claims organization running efficiently, compliantly, and consistently. You'll oversee claims administration, quality assurance, compliance, training, and operational excellence while partnering closely with Claims leadership to drive continuous improvement across the department.

This role is ideal for a collaborative leader who enjoys developing people, improving processes, leveraging data, and building scalable operations that deliver outstanding service. Key Responsibilities

Lead Claims Operations

Provide strategic leadership for Claims Administration, Compliance, Quality Assurance, and Training while developing high-performing teams, improving operational processes, and ensuring consistent service across the Claims organization.

Ensure Compliance & Quality

Oversee regulatory compliance, quality assurance programs, file reviews, audits, and reporting to ensure claims operations meet company standards and state regulatory requirements while minimizing operational risk.

Develop People & Processes

Lead onboarding, technical training, and professional development programs while identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and strengthen operational performance.

Drive Performance

Monitor key operational metrics, service levels, and quality indicators to support informed decision-making, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer service.

Partner Across the Business

Collaborate with Claims leadership, Legal, Finance, Underwriting, IT, and executive leaders to support regulatory readiness, catastrophe response, new product launches, and other strategic initiatives.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 8+ years of progressive property & casualty claims leadership experience, including operations, compliance, quality, or training leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of Florida insurance regulations, claims operations, and compliance best practices.
  • Experience leading teams, improving processes, and using data to drive operational performance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • CPCU, AIC, or similar industry designation preferred.
  • Florida 6-20 Adjuster License preferred.


This position will remain open until August 20th, or until a sufficient pool of qualified candidates has been identified.
