Director of Civil Engineering - Jacksonville, Florida

RQC, LLC is seeking an experienced Director of Civil Engineering to oversee and grow our civil engineering operations based in Jacksonville, Florida. Relocation support may be provided for eligible candidates. This senior leadership position is responsible for directing the technical delivery and strategic planning of civil engineering initiatives supporting Department of Defense (DoD) projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of military design criteria, experience coordinating across multiple engineering disciplines, and a proven ability to mentor and strengthen teams serving U.S. military clients, all while aligning with the company's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's degree preferred
  • Current Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
  • At least 15 years of experience in civil/site design, military or DoD-related infrastructure work preferred
  • Experience using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, InfoDrainage, or equivalent platforms
  • Understanding of federal project delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build (DBB), Design-Build (DB), and Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) in compliance with FAR requirements
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, codes, and permitting processes
  • Willingness to travel to project locations when required
