Salary Range: $121,726 - $191,387

In addition to salary, the Association has a team based incentive program that provides an opportunity for up to 15% payout of base salary based upon Association performance.

This position may also be eligible for individual incentive opportunities.

Position Summary:

The Director of Business Transformation leads the Association's AI strategy, roadmap, and transformation portfolio. This role collaborates with executive leadership to translate emerging AI capabilities into practical business solutions that improve efficiency, optimize operations, and advance strategic objectives. Through cross-functional leadership, governance, and change management, the position drives responsible AI adoption and organizational transformation while ensuring initiatives deliver measurable business value.

AI Strategy & Roadmap Development (30%)

• Develop, maintain, and execute the Association's enterprise AI strategy and multi-year roadmap aligned with strategic business objectives.
• Partner with leadership to identify, evaluate, prioritize, and advance AI opportunities aligned with strategic objectives.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies, industry trends, and market developments to assess business applicability and strategic fit.
• Establish criteria for evaluating, prioritizing, and governing AI initiatives across the Association.
• Develop business cases, expected outcomes, success metrics, and implementation plans for AI-enabled initiatives.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executives and leaders regarding AI opportunities, risk, and organizational impacts.
• Monitor progress against the AI roadmap and recommend adjustments to priorities based on business needs, organizational readiness, and emerging opportunities.

Business Transformation (30%)

• Lead enterprise transformation initiatives that improve operational efficiency, productivity, decision-making, employee experience, and customer service.
• Partner with business leaders to identify process optimization, automation, and workflow improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate the redesign of business processes to effectively leverage AI-enabled capabilities.
• Establish performance measures and key indicators to evaluate the effectiveness and return on investment of AI initiatives.
• Track, measure, and communicate business outcomes, efficiency gains, and value realization from AI investments.
• Champion continuous improvement efforts that drive organizational effectiveness through responsible use of AI and workflow automation.

AI Governance & Risk Management (20%)

• Develop and maintain AI governance frameworks, standards, policies, and procedures that support responsible AI adoption.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Information Technology teams to ensure AI initiatives align with regulatory expectations, data privacy requirements, and risk management practices.
• Facilitate review and approval processes for AI use cases, tools, and implementation efforts.
• Monitor evolving regulatory guidance, industry standards, and best practices related to artificial intelligence and recommend appropriate governance enhancements.
• Support internal audits, examinations, and risk reviews concerning AI practices and controls.
• Measure adoption, engagement, and organizational impact of AI initiatives.
• Promote ethical, responsible, and transparent use of AI throughout the Association.

Collaboration & Leadership (20%)

• Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership regarding AI opportunities, risk, priorities, and business impacts.
• Lead cross-functional AI governance committees, working groups, and transformation initiatives.
• Build partnerships across departments to accelerate alignment, adoption, and successful implementation of AI initiatives.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and recommendations for executive leadership, management committees, and the Board.
• Foster collaboration between business units, technology teams, and external partners to maximize organizational value from AI investments.

• Appropriately protects the confidentiality, security, and integrity of the Association's systems, data, and clients' data

Knowledge and Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of business transformation methodologies, organizational change management principles, continuous improvement practices, and organizational effectiveness strategies.

• Strong understanding of artificial intelligence, generative AI, automation technologies, and emerging business capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Organizational Development, Risk Management, or related field
• Experience: 7+ years of progressively responsible experience leading strategic initiatives, technology adoption, business transformation, process improvement, enterprise risk management, or organizational change efforts. Vast experience developing AI strategies, governance programs, responsible AI frameworks, digital transformation initiatives, workforce enablement programs, or related enterprise initiatives.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Positions in this class typically require: keying, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects. Must be able to remain in a stationary position most of the time. The employee must be able to prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribe data; understand information communicated via computer screens and in written text.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Employees work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions, and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. Employees may interact with upset staff and/or public and private representatives in interpreting and enforcing departmental policies and procedures. This position requires approximately 20%-30% travel time.
