Full Job Description
Qualifications:

  • Have had at least five (5) years of full-time clinical casework experience with children and families, including 2 years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Valid Michigan Drivers License


Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for managing all administrative, clinical and programmatic functions related to services delivered withing the Easterseals MORC, Inc West Michigan location.
  2. Enforces agency policies and procedures. May develop new policies and procedures to support programming operations.
  3. Oversees and manages the budget for services under the West Michigan scope, including any/all grants assigned. Authorizes expenditures and secures additional funding sources to support the program.
  4. Instructs, assigns, schedules, checks and appraises performance. Hires, approves disciplinary action and discharge, and approves pay increases and/or promotions.
  5. Performs quality, sentinel event and risk case reviews for subordinate staff.
  6. Assists staff in improving and updating professional skills by providing them with information such as pertinent conferences and seminars, new techniques in the field and current and pending legislation affecting mental health services. May provide "in service" trainings and facilitate site all staff meetings.
  7. Acts as a liaison with community agencies, parent support groups, and other mental health service providers, contractors, maintaining an awareness of the full range of human services available in the community to support client needs.
  8. Ensures that paperwork is maintained in accordance with Medicaid and Department of Community Health guidelines, as well as Easter Seals policies and procedures, contractor and grant requirements.
