Role MissionThe Director of Advisor Partnerships - East Region is responsible for driving measurable new revenue growth and deepening advisor loyalty across the East Region by building and re-engaging high-value luxury travel advisor relationships. This role balances proactive reengagement of existing clients with targeted new business development, leveraging market insights and high-touch relationship management to maximize revenue, retention, and brand presence. Acting as both a client-facing ambassador and a regional business leader, the Director ensures that every interaction delivers measurable impact and expands UJV's market presence and advisor production in the East.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Engagement & Growth- Strategically nurture relationships with luxury travel advisors, agencies, and consortia (e.g., Virtuoso), both re-engaging/deepening existing East Region accounts and actively growing the region through new client engagement; to drive loyalty, repeat business, and higher conversion rates.
- Build and maintain a prioritized pipeline of high-value advisor and agency prospects, identifying and pursuing growth opportunities using data-driven insights and tailored outreach strategies.
- Design and execute initiatives that maximize the impact of client interactions, balancing new business development with proactive engagement of established partnerships.
- Own the full lifespan of the client relationship - from first engagement through conversion and beyond - ensuring accounts remain actively engaged and continue to grow into fully-engaged, multi-product clients over time.
- Effectively speak to and represent all three UJV regions (Tropics, Europe, Africa) with advisors, with the goal of driving bookings across all regions.
Market Engagement & Strategic Representation- Represent UJV at industry events, trade shows, and familiarization (FAM) trips across the East Region, serving as a trusted brand ambassador and gathering insights to strengthen the company's market position.
- Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, emerging opportunities, and evolving client needs within the region.
- Translate market and client insights into a strategic growth plan that drives engagement, client retention, and revenue growth.
Regional Business Performance- Maintain accountability for East Region advisor production and revenue growth against baseline targets, aligning spending and engagement decisions with revenue objectives.
- Focus efforts on initiatives that drive revenue growth, client retention, and overall regional profitability, leveraging strategic rather than constant in-person engagement.
- Convert new advisor partnerships into active, producing accounts, tracking progress against defined 30/60/90-day milestones, while taking ownership of the client's long-term engagement well beyond initial conversion.
- Maintain a continuous-learning mindset and grow your own product and regional expertise alongside the business - you'll have the tools, training, and team support to build this knowledge, but you're expected to apply it and speak with confidence about all UJV regions.
Collaboration- Partner closely with the designated Regional Sales & Operations leader (Africa, Europe, Tropics) to align on lead quality, client fit, and relationship continuity, ensuring a smooth transition from advisor engagement through booking and trip delivery.
- Continuously partner with Destination Specialists to review book of business for opportunities of re-engagement and further client development, sharing insights to enhance client satisfaction and retention.
- Work closely with Marketing to inform campaigns, support webinars and advisor engagement events (including promotion, follow-up, and attendee interaction), and amplify UJV's presence through social media and other client-facing initiatives.
- Partner with the Head of Business Development/Advisor Partnerships to align on strategic direction, while owning and presenting a quarterly strategic review of your market: what was accomplished, what wasn't, and what you'll do differently going forward.
Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in luxury travel sales, business development, or advisor partnerships, within travel agencies, tour operators, or destination management companies.
- Hunter mentality, personality, and strong business acumen - able to connect, build relationships, and convert through proactive new business development (cold calling, networking, lead generation, market analysis), valued over years of tenure alone.
- Proven track record of cultivating and maintaining long-term, high-value client relationships, with strong results in both re-engagement and new business acquisition.
- Existing, well-established relationships with East Region travel advisors and agency owners are considered a strong asset.
- Deep understanding of the luxury travel market, including consortia and high-value advisor networks.
- Results-driven, with a focus on achieving goals at both individual and regional levels, including data-driven decision-making to optimize revenue and production.
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple accounts, projects, and travel (30-40%) while balancing strategic priorities.
- Resilient and adaptable, able to navigate a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally, particularly with marketing and operational teams.
- Willingness to continuously build cross-regional product knowledge (beyond the East Region) as UJV continues to grow.
