Job DescriptionThe Division of Congenital Heart Disease in the Department of Cardiology at the Smidt Heart Institute, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, seeks an accomplished physician to serve as Director of the Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) Program.
The Director will lead the clinical, educational, and research missions of the ACHD Program across the Cedars-Sinai Health System. Responsibilities include oversight of a multidisciplinary clinical program, strategic program development, faculty mentorship, and participation in inpatient and outpatient ACHD care.
The ACHD Program provides comprehensive care for adults with congenital heart disease across the main Cedars-Sinai campus and affiliated sites. Current clinical services include outpatient consultation, inpatient management, advanced cardiovascular imaging, catheter-based and surgical therapies, and care of patients with complex congenital heart disease, including single-ventricle physiology, pulmonary hypertension, and heart failure. The program is closely integrated with Pediatric and Fetal Cardiology, Congenital Cardiac Surgery, Electrophysiology, Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation, Structural Heart Disease, and Cardiac Imaging, providing continuity of care from fetal diagnosis through adulthood.
The Director will expand the ACHD clinical and research programs, strengthen regional referral networks, develop multidisciplinary initiatives, and mentor fellows and junior faculty. Opportunities include participation in multicenter research, national registries, quality improvement, and educational programs.

Our compensation philosophy:We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. We also offer a comprehensive faculty benefits package.
Pay Range: $608,000.00 - $949,000.00
Qualifications- Medical Degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certified with the ABIM in Cardiovascular Disease, with subspecialty board certification or equivalent expertise in Adult Congenital Heart Disease.
- Eligible for an unrestricted California license as Physician.
- Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of California.
- Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
- Eligible for appointment to Associate Professor or Professor academic rank in the CSMC professorial series
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional collaboration abilities with partners and staff.
- Proficiency in the comprehensive clinical management of adults with congenital heart disease, including diagnostic and procedural skills relevant to ACHD care. Candidates should be recognized for the provision of clinical excellence.
- A track-record of peer-reviewed publications and a plan to continue performing and supervising academic work.
