Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for an administrative faculty position as Director of Accreditation Intelligence and Analytics with a preferred start date as early as January 1, 2027. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Reporting to the Associate Vice Provost and SACSCOC Liaison, the Director of Accreditation Intelligence and Analytics, provides leadership for institutional assessment, accreditation data management, reporting, and technology solutions that support the university's continuous improvement and accreditation efforts. This position serves as a strategic partner across academic and administrative units by coordinating assessment activities, leading accreditation-related reporting and analytics, managing specialized business systems, and ensuring stakeholders have access to the data and information necessary to demonstrate institutional effectiveness and compliance with accreditation requirements.

The position works collaboratively with the Institutional Accreditation Liaison, Office of Academic Excellence, University Data Strategy, University Information Technology Services (UITS), academic colleges, administrative and academic support units to advance innovative technologies that streamline and facilitate a culture of evidence-informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

This is a 12-month, non-tenure track, open rank Lecturer faculty position.

Responsibilities

Institutional Assessment Leadership

• Lead Institutional Assessment & Strategy: Direct the development and implementation of a comprehensive institutional assessment and continuous improvement
  strategies, overseeing annual cycles from planning and data collection to analysis and reporting.
• Maintain Accreditation & Compliance: Ensure institutional assessment standards align with accreditation requirements and advise campus leaders on ongoing
  institutional effectiveness and related processes.
• Guide Academic & Support Unit Assessment: Support assessment processes for academic programs and student support services, evaluating both learning and
  operational outcomes.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Provide consultation, technical assistance, and guidance to departments to refine assessment planning, analysis, and institutional
  effectiveness.

Data Analytics and Institutional Insights

• Accreditation & Assessment Data Lead: Serve as the primary liaison to the University Data Strategy Team and divisional units, aligning assessment, institutional
  effectiveness, and Academic Program Review (APR) needs.
• Reporting & Dashboard Development: Design, maintain, and distribute recurring and ad hoc reports, data visualizations, and online dashboards relating to
  accreditation standards to deliver accessible, real-time insights to university stakeholders.
• Decision-Support & Strategic Analysis: Analyze and interpret data to provide actionable recommendations and conduct peer benchmarking studies tied to
  institutional and program accreditation standards.
• Data Access & Quality Improvement: Identify key data sources and collaborate across teams to streamline access, improve reporting quality, and enhance datainformed
  decision-making relating to accreditation standards.

Accreditation Intelligence and Technical Liaison

• Serve as Business Transformation & Data Leadership: Drive internal and external strategic partnerships for core accreditation systems, ensuring platform reliability, data integrity, and compliance across administrative divisions.
• Provide Functional & Process Expertise: Deliver expert guidance on software and business processes that support assessment, accreditation, compliance, and
  institutional effectiveness.
• Assess Emerging Technologies: Research and evaluate AI, workflow automation, and data integration tools to modernize operations, eliminate manual tasks, and
  improve efficiency.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Build Strategic Stakeholder Relationships: Cultivate strong cross-institutional relationships and partnerships across all levels, engaging internal and external
  stakeholders with a commitment to shared governance.
• Foster Data-Informed Collaboration: Build community and alignment around data management and data-informed decision-making in close partnership with the
  Provost's Office and institutional units.
• Lead & Develop High-Performing Teams: Demonstrate proven leadership in complex organizational environments by managing, developing, and empowering
  teams to drive results.
• Promote a Positive, Inclusive Culture: Advance a culture of respect, transparency, and innovation, leveraging high emotional intelligence to cultivate a supportive
  and effective work environment.

Teaching one course per year. Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of a Master's degree from an accredited institution in a discipline taught in one of KSU's academic schools or departments is required at the time of hire.
• At least five years successful experience in higher education leadership fostering a culture of continuous improvement and leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Academically qualified to teach in one of KSU's academic schools or departments
• Experience in higher education assessment, institutional effectiveness, accreditation, institutional research, data analytics, information systems, or a related field.
• Successful experience managing complex data reporting and analysis projects.
• Knowledge of assessment methodologies, continuous improvement processes, and accreditation standards.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex data and technical information to diverse audiences.
• Successful experience working collaboratively across organizational units and with multiple stakeholder groups.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctoral degree, or the foreign equivalent, from an accredited institution.
• Successful experience supporting institutional accreditation (e.g., SACSCOC) and specialized accreditation processes.
• Experience with Watermark Planning & Self-Study, Watermark Teaching Qualifications, or similar accreditation management systems.
• Experience with business intelligence tools, dashboards, and data visualization platforms.
• Successful experience collaborating with information technology and data governance teams.
• Knowledge of University System of Georgia or similar university systems reporting requirements and annual program review processes.
