Full Job Description
The Director of Nursing (DON) leads nursing services, ensuring safe, effective addiction treatment in alignment with regulatory guidelines. The DON supports medical personnel, develops nursing managers, collaborates with administrative and departmental leaders, and serves as a liaison to Glenbeigh's clinical ancillary functions. This role reports to the President, with an indirect/functional reporting relationship to the ARMC System CNO.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in nursing, master's degree preferred in health-related field.
    • Progressive leadership experience required.
    • Demonstrated skill in finance/budgeting, computer applications, organizational theory and applications, human resource management, management applications and customer service marketing.
    • Demonstrated and ongoing commitment to continuous professional growth, development and excellence required.
    • Demonstrate professionalism, resilience, and a positive role-model presence.
    • Demonstrates compassion, sound judgment, and effective interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal relationship skills required.
    • Basic knowledge of signs and symptoms of substance use intoxication, dependency and withdrawal.
    • Knowledge of patient assessments, treatment planning, nursing interventions, evaluation, medication administration, and nursing care to specialty adult population.

Required Length and Type of Experience
    • Minimum of five years of management experience in an acute care facility or healthcare area required.
    • Experience in chemical dependency treatment preferred.

Required Licensure or Certification
    • Valid Ohio RN License.

Required Physical and Environmental Demands
    • Must be able to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time.
    • Must be able to work and move among all of the areas of practice.
    • Excellent hand/eye coordination. Manual dexterity to operate personal computer and standard office machines needed.
    • Requires working under stressful situations.
