Labor & Delivery and

JOB TITLE: RN Educator - Women's Health
LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital
DEPARTMENT: Women's Health (Labor and Delivery/Women's Care Unit)
SCHEDULE: Full-Time, Monday-Friday (40 hours per week)
Preferred Qualifications- Women's Health and/or OB experience preferred, but not required.
- Master's degree in Education (or related field) preferred, but not required.
ATTRIBUTES- In lieu of degree, equivalent combination of education and healthcare related work experience will be considered
- Minimum of three (3) years of prior training/teaching experience in related educational field

RESPONSIBILITIES- Evaluation. Identify and validate the learning needs of customers by utilizing needs assessments, CQI results, performance improvement results, customer surveys and course evaluation results; document the effectiveness of educational offerings by developing, monitoring and assessing competencies; analyze cost to maximize the efficient utilization of resources
- Development. Create educational programs and curriculum that promote quality healthcare, employee/patient growth and personal wellness; provide leadership in areas of expertise as a resource to the customer; develop communications and audio-visual materials that are clear and concise
- Implementation. Facilitate programs to meet the identified learning needs of our customers; provide in-depth orientation, in-service and continuing education for staff or patients

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)New York State Education Department (NYSED)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
