Oura is redefining what it means to know your body - and the world is taking notice. Over the past three years, we have delivered 100% year-over-year growth, expanding from zero retail partners in 2023 to a rapidly growing network of major accounts across North America, with significant new launches planned this year and beyond. We are now seeking a Director, North America Logistics to be the operational architect of that growth.
This is a senior leadership role with full P&L visibility and end-to-end accountability across all North America fulfillment channels: Retail (brick-and-mortar and key account wholesale), Direct-to-Consumer (D2C/eCommerce), and Commercial (B2B/enterprise). You will own the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of our logistics network, drive customer on-time delivery (OTD) performance, lead cost optimization initiatives, and spearhead the systems and automation agenda that will scale Oura's operations for the next phase of growth. You will lead a team of direct reports and serve as the most senior logistics voice in North America, reporting into global supply chain leadership.
You will:
Multi-Channel Operations Leadership
- Own end-to-end logistics execution across all three North America channels - Retail, D2C, and Commercial - ensuring each channel operates with clear SLAs, defined ownership, and measurable performance standards.
- Set the operational strategy for retail key account fulfillment, including routing guide compliance, EDI readiness, packaging/labeling mandates, and flawless onboarding of new retail partners.
- Direct D2C fulfillment operations in partnership with 3PL providers, ensuring order accuracy, carrier performance, and a best-in-class post-purchase customer experience.
- Build and scale Commercial/B2B logistics operations to support Oura's growing enterprise and health/wellness channel partnerships.
- Lead execution of new distribution nodes and fulfillment expansion across the US, Canada, and LATAM to support Oura's geographic growth roadmap.
On-Time Delivery & Customer Performance
- Own the OTD (On-Time Delivery) KPI framework across all channels, establishing targets, tracking performance, and holding 3PL partners and carriers accountable to commitments.
- Drive continuous reduction in PO-to-delivery cycle times across retail and wholesale, accelerating fill rates and reducing stock-out risk at key retail partners.
- Establish and enforce service level agreements with all fulfillment partners; implement structured scorecards and QBR cadences to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
- Build real-time shipment visibility capabilities end to end, enabling proactive exception management and faster resolution of delivery failures before they impact customers or retail partners.
Cost Optimization & Financial Ownership
- Own the North America logistics P&L, including freight spend, fulfillment costs, and cost-per-unit across all channels; build and manage against an annual operating budget.
- Develop and execute a multi-year cost-down roadmap, including carrier contract negotiations, freight mode optimization (Prepaid vs. Collect), network consolidation, and 3PL rate benchmarking.
- Build and own a rigorous retail chargeback and deduction management program; create systematic audit, dispute, and recovery processes to defend company margins.
- Run ongoing cost-to-serve analyses by channel, customer, and SKU; translate findings into actionable decisions on distribution strategy, packaging optimization, and fulfillment model design.
- Partner with Finance to build logistics cost models and forecasts that support Oura's annual planning cycle and long-range strategic plan.
Automation, Systems & Technology
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of logistics technology platforms (WMS, TMS, OMS, carrier management systems) that enable operational scale and visibility.
- Drive automation of manual workflows across order processing, shipment tracking, exception management, and compliance reporting to reduce cost, error rates, and cycle times.
- Partner with IT and Engineering to build integrations between Oura's ERP, EDI systems, and 3PL/carrier platforms; define data standards and system requirements that enable real-time operational intelligence.
- Build and own the North America logistics reporting suite: OTD, fill rate, freight cost-per-unit, chargeback recovery, and cycle time dashboards that feed executive-level decision making.
- Identify and implement warehouse automation opportunities (robotics, pick-and-pack optimization, slotting) in partnership with 3PL providers to improve throughput and reduce per-unit fulfillment cost.
3PL & Carrier Network Management
- Serve as the executive relationship owner for all North America 3PL and carrier partners; lead contract negotiations, annual RFPs, and performance governance.
- Design the North America distribution network architecture to support omnichannel growth: evaluate node placement, hub-and-spoke vs. distributed fulfillment models, and regional capacity needs.
- Conduct regular 3PL and carrier scorecarding; escalate and resolve performance gaps swiftly to protect OTD, cost, and compliance commitments.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Strategic Influence
- Serve as the primary logistics partner to Sales, Account Management, and Commercial leadership; provide supply chain readiness assessments for new account pursuits and channel expansion decisions.
- Collaborate with Global Logistics and Trade Compliance teams to align import/export processes, customs requirements, and duty optimization strategies across the North America network.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, and Demand Planning on new product launch logistics, including packaging readiness, retailer setup timelines, and first-ship milestone ownership.
- Present logistics performance, strategic initiatives, and investment cases to senior leadership and the executive team on a regular cadence.
Team Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead, develop, and scale the North America logistics team; build a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement.
- Define the long-term organizational structure and headcount plan for the North America logistics function; build the team ahead of growth by hiring, developing, and retaining top logistics talent.
- Set clear goals and performance expectations for direct reports; provide coaching, mentorship, and career development support that builds bench strength and retention.
- Foster cross-functional relationships and serve as an ambassador for logistics' strategic role within Oura's broader business, elevating the function from operational execution to business-enabling partnership.
Requirements:We would love to consider you for this role if you have:
- 10+ years of progressive logistics and supply chain leadership experience, with at least 4+ years in a Director-level or equivalent senior leadership role within a product-shipping industry (Consumer Electronics, CPG, Wearables, Apparel, or similar).
- Proven omnichannel logistics expertise: you have owned operations across at least two of three channels (Retail/wholesale, D2C eCommerce, and Commercial/B2B) and understand the distinct fulfillment requirements, compliance demands, and cost structures of each.
- Demonstrated track record of improving OTD performance: you have built or overhauled delivery performance frameworks, driven measurable improvements in on-time delivery metrics, and held 3PL/carrier partners accountable to SLAs.
- Strong financial acumen with direct logistics P&L or budget ownership experience: skilled in freight cost modeling, cost-to-serve analysis, and identifying and executing cost reduction initiatives at scale.
- Hands-on experience with logistics systems and technology: you have led or played a key role in WMS, TMS, OMS, or ERP implementations and have a clear point of view on how systems and automation unlock operational scale.
- Deep retail compliance knowledge: expertise in routing guide management, EDI setup and troubleshooting, chargeback/deduction dispute processes, and the operational mechanics of major US retailers (e.g., Target, Best Buy, Walmart, Costco, or equivalent).
- Executive-level communication and influence: you are equally comfortable in a QBR with a 3PL partner, presenting a business case to the CFO, or aligning a sales team on supply chain constraints and timelines.
- Experience leading and scaling logistics teams through rapid growth; you thrive in a high-velocity environment and know how to build process and structure without sacrificing speed.
- Exposure to international or cross-border logistics in North America (Canada and/or LATAM) is a strong plus.
