Summary:

The Director of MSR Technology & Transactions is responsible for supporting Freedom's servicing operations, transaction management processes, and related technology solutions. This role partners closely with business, technology, and servicing teams to ensure effective onboarding, accurate data validation, and operational readiness across internal systems and third-party platforms. The Director will apply strong servicing knowledge, analytical skills, and problem-solving capabilities to drive process improvements and support transaction execution.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Transaction Management & Exchange Platform Support
  • Support transaction management activities across Freedom's Exchange platforms, including MSR acquisition and onboarding.
  • Assist in defining data requirements and mapping configurations for integration into Freedom owned systems and approved vendor platforms.
  • Partner with senior leaders to support the integration of client facing Exchange functionality into broader servicing and operational workflows.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance loan boarding efficiency across multiple systems.

Legacy Exchange Platform Support
  • Serve as a key functional resource for Freedom's legacy Exchange transaction management portal and underlying workflows.
  • Support the design, testing, and implementation of system enhancements in partnership with technology teams and vendors.
  • Servicing Oversight & Client Support
  • Assist with servicing oversight and servicing transfer support for Freedom's MSR investment funds.
  • Support the delivery and expansion of Freedom's subservicing client management capabilities.
  • Contribute to the development of tools, reporting, and processes to improve servicing oversight and client interactions.

Cross Functional & Technical Coordination
  • Act as a business partner to internal teams and third party providers to support system integrations and technical initiatives.
  • Help translate business requirements into functional specifications and adoption plans.
  • Provide user support and guidance to ensure effective and consistent system utilization.

Data Validation & Operational Support
  • Perform data validation activities related to servicing transfers, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards.
  • Support OCR, API, and automation initiatives aimed at improving data accuracy and reducing operational dependency on vendors.

Investor & Portfolio Support
  • Support investor portfolio management activities through data analysis and operational reporting.
  • Assist with buyer data modeling efforts and ongoing refinement of data management practices.

Reporting, Analytics & Data Support
  • Develop and maintain operational and investor reporting related to servicing transfers, boarding activities, and MSR transactions.
  • Analyze servicing and transaction data to identify trends, exceptions, reconciliation issues, and operational risks.
  • Support business users with ad hoc reporting, data validation, and production support activities.
  • Partner with technology teams to validate Snowflake, SQL, API, and file-based data integrations.
  • Assist in monitoring data quality, reconciliation controls, and operational reporting accuracy across servicing platforms.

  • Support end-to-end testing, pilot execution, and production readiness activities for servicing transfer implementations.
  • Assist with operational issue resolution, reconciliation efforts, and post-implementation support.
  • Coordinate with servicing operations teams to validate business processes and identify workflow gaps.
  • Support change management and user adoption activities related to servicing technology initiatives.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role does not have direct reports but may provide functional guidance, mentorship, or project leadership to peers and cross functional partners.

Qualifications:
  • Solid experience in mortgage servicing, transaction management, or related financial operations.
  • Working knowledge of system integrations, data mapping, and workflow design.
  • Strong ability to analyze business processes and support translation into technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with servicing platforms, transaction management tools, or Exchange type environments preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment.


Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four year college or university and/or
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
