Full Job Description
Citi's Commercial Bank is seeking a Director-level Mid-Corporate Relationship Manager to lead coverage of US-headquartered technology and communications companies generating annual revenues of 3BN+. In this role, you will originate and grow complex, multi-product client relationships, act as a trusted advisor to senior decision-makers, and collaborate with partners across Investment Banking, Treasury & Trade Solutions, Debt Capital Markets, Loan Syndications, and Equity Capital Markets to deliver tailored financial solutions at scale. This is a high-impact position at the centre of Citi's Commercial Bank growth strategy, where your ability to develop new business and deepen existing relationships will directly shape the team's success.

Responsibilities
  • Originate, develop, and manage a portfolio of mid-corporate client relationships across the Digital Technology and Communications sector, with a focus on companies generating revenues of $100MM-$3BN+, without geographic constraint within the US.
  • Lead end-to-end credit dialogue with clients, structure complex multi-product financing solutions, and partner with Credit Loan Management and Independent Risk to establish and monitor credit relationships across the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with product specialists across Investment Banking, Treasury & Trade, Derivative Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Loan Syndications, and Equity Capital Markets to deliver coordinated solutions including cash management, hedging, and capital raising.
  • Identify and convert cross-sell opportunities to deepen wallet share, while maintaining full accountability for client-level planning, revenue targets, and portfolio budget performance.
  • Deliver timely market intelligence, sector insights, and industry trends directly to clients, as well as to internal leadership, Risk, and partner teams to inform strategy and strengthen Citi's market positioning.
  • Oversee the client onboarding and retention process in coordination with Case Managers, ensuring all Know Your Client (KYC) and compliance obligations are met in accordance with regulatory requirements and Citi's policies.
  • Assess risk at the point of every significant business decision, ensuring sound judgment is applied to protect client relationships, uphold Citi's reputation, and maintain transparent escalation of any control concerns.


Required Qualifications & Skills
  • 15+ years of experience in commercial banking, with demonstrated exposure to clients in the technology sector and a track record of generating new business and managing credit risk effectively.
  • Active FINRA licenses (Series 79, Series 63, and SIE), or the commitment and eligibility to obtain these upon joining.
  • Expert-level commercial credit skills, including the ability to independently structure complex and global credit transactions, lead the credit approval process, and apply advanced early warning detection capabilities across a live portfolio.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial banking products and investment solutions, with the ability to rapidly evaluate and deploy new products to meet evolving client needs.
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate multi-functional teams across product, risk, and operations to deliver a seamless client experience under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage senior internal and external stakeholders and translate complex financial concepts into clear, client-relevant language.
  • Strong digital fluency, with the ability to identify where technology and data insights can enhance the client experience and improve commercial outcomes.

  • A Master's degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification in finance, business, or a related discipline.
  • Experience delivering multi-geography client solutions, such as cross-border cash management, coordinated hedging programmes, or international capital raising mandates.
