Job Summary
The Director, Marketing Strategy & Operations is responsible for building and managing the Marketing operating system that drives strategic planning, organizational alignment, budget governance, performance reporting, accountability, and scalable execution across the marketing function. This role serves as the central hub for marketing operations, ensuring that priorities, resources, processes, and performance measurements are aligned with firm growth objectives.
The Director will lead annual and quarterly planning processes, establish and maintain OKR and KPI frameworks, oversee budget governance and reporting, identify opportunities to leverage AI and emerging technologies, and support market launches and other cross-functional strategic initiatives. This role partners closely with executive leadership and marketing team leaders to drive operational excellence and measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Operational Leadership
• Lead the annual and quarterly marketing planning process, ensuring alignment with business objectives and growth strategies.
• Build and maintain the marketing operating system, including planning cadences, prioritization frameworks, governance processes, and performance management routines.
• Establish organizational accountability measures and operational standards across all marketing functions.
• Facilitate business reviews and planning sessions with marketing leadership and executive stakeholders.
Performance Management & Reporting
• Develop, implement, and manage Marketing OKRs, KPIs, scorecards, and performance dashboards.
• Establish regular business review processes to evaluate marketing effectiveness, resource allocation, and strategic progress.
• Deliver timely and accurate executive reporting to communicate marketing performance, opportunities, and risks.
• Monitor and communicate progress against departmental goals and key initiatives.
Budget Governance & Financial Oversight
• Own marketing budget planning, forecasting, tracking, and governance processes.
• Monitor expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets and strategic priorities.
• Analyze budget performance and recommend adjustments to optimize resource allocation and return on investment.
• Maintain financial reporting and forecast accuracy for marketing initiatives.
Process Improvement & Technology Enablement
• Evaluate, implement, and optimize marketing processes, workflows, and systems to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline operations, reporting, content development, and campaign execution.
• Lead the implementation of technology-enabled workflow improvements across the marketing organization.
• Ensure adoption of best practices and operational standards across teams.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Market Expansion
• Partner with leadership teams across the organization to support strategic initiatives and growth objectives.
• Support research, planning, and execution activities related to new market launches and expansion efforts.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects and ensure alignment between marketing and key business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal departments to improve customer experience and support business growth initiatives.
Qualifications
Experience
• 8-10+ years of experience in marketing strategy, marketing operations, business operations, planning, analytics, or related disciplines.
• 3-5+ years of leadership experience managing cross-functional teams, strategic initiatives, or operational functions.
• Demonstrated success building planning, reporting, budget management, and performance measurement processes.
• Experience leading annual planning cycles, business reviews, and executive reporting.
• Proven ability to manage complex budgets and resource allocation decisions.
• Experience identifying and implementing AI, automation, or technology-enabled process improvements.
• Experience supporting organizational growth, expansion initiatives, or large-scale cross-functional projects.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Finance, Operations, or a related field required.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements
• Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.
• Stationary Position - Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
• Move or Traverse - This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc. May occasionally ascend/descend the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria, and parking area.
• Dexterity - Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer.
• Move, Transport, Position, Put, Install, Remove - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs.
