Job Overview

The Director, Luxury Brand Acceleration is responsible for accelerating growth, elevating customer experience, and strengthening market leadership across Bloomingdale's strategic luxury brand partnerships through a dedicated performance acceleration ("sprint") operating model. This role serves as the central orchestrator across Merchandising, Stores, Digital, Customer Experience, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Strategy, Vendor Relations, and other key business functions to develop and execute customized growth strategies that drive commercial performance, operational excellence, and exceptional luxury experiences.

As Bloomingdale's continues its significant expansion across luxury Ready-to-Wear, Accessories, Fine & High Jewelry, Luxury Watches, and Men's Tailored Clothing, this leader will establish scalable operating frameworks that ensure new and existing luxury businesses launch, grow, and perform at the highest standard. This role is accountable for diagnosing organizational and operational gaps, designing and continuously refining the luxury operating model, building repeatable playbooks, and driving cross-functional omnichannel execution to achieve measurable business results.

This is not a traditional brand management role-it is a business transformation and performance leadership role. Success requires deep luxury retail expertise, exceptional commercial acumen, and the ability to influence, align, and hold cross-functional partners accountable for delivering a best-in-class luxury customer and brand experience. The Director is empowered to influence enterprise priorities, escalate execution risks, and drive accountability across functions to ensure strategic initiatives achieve their intended outcomes while strengthening long-term partnerships with luxury brands.

Essential Functions
  • Lead the acceleration of strategic luxury businesses by developing customized growth plans that increase sales, market share, customer acquisition, and brand performance.
  • Conduct structured business assessments to identify cross-functional performance gaps, operational challenges, capability deficiencies, and opportunities for growth across the luxury portfolio.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine Bloomingdale's enterprise luxury operating model, establishing scalable best practices and repeatable playbooks across merchandising, visual presentation, clienteling, marketing, digital, customer experience, vendor partnerships, events, and in-store execution.
  • Design brand- and category-specific launch frameworks that ensure new luxury businesses-including Fine & High Jewelry, Luxury Watches, and Men's Tailored Clothing-are operationally prepared for successful launch and long-term growth.
  • Serve as the central leader responsible for coordinating and aligning Merchandising, Stores, Digital, Customer Experience, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Vendor Relations, Strategy, and other business partners to deliver consistent execution across the luxury portfolio.
  • Influence cross-functional priorities, remove organizational barriers, escalate execution issues when necessary, and drive accountability to ensure timely delivery of strategic initiatives.
  • Establish and lead an operating cadence that includes weekly business performance reviews, monthly brand deep-dives, quarterly business reviews, and ongoing executive reporting.
  • Develop meaningful performance metrics, dashboards, and accountability frameworks that provide real-time visibility into business health, execution quality, customer experience, and commercial outcomes.
  • Partner with Merchandising to optimize assortment strategies, pricing architecture, inventory flow, and distribution plans that align with luxury brand standards and customer demand.
  • Design talent strategies for emerging luxury categories by identifying capability needs and partnering with business leaders to strengthen expertise through hiring, training, coaching, and capability development.
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify processes, enhance collaboration, and strengthen organizational capabilities across the luxury business.
  • Build trusted executive relationships with luxury brand partners by demonstrating operational excellence, transparent communication, and consistent execution that encourages continued investment and expansion with Bloomingdale's.
  • Leverage competitive intelligence, customer insights, and market trends to identify new growth opportunities and inform long-term portfolio strategy.
  • Lead change management efforts by effectively communicating priorities, aligning stakeholders, and fostering adoption of new operating models, processes, and best practices across the organization.
  • Present business performance, strategic recommendations, and portfolio insights to senior leadership and external brand partners, translating complex information into actionable business decisions.
  • Champion an exceptional luxury customer experience by ensuring every cross-functional initiative supports elevated service, differentiated experiences, and long-term customer loyalty.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
