  • Legal Technology & Systems: Lead implementation, administration, and optimization of legal technology platforms, including contract lifecycle management, e-billing, matter management, knowledge-management, reporting, and workflow tools.
  • Technology Adoption & Enablement: Partner with Legal, IT, Procurement, and business stakeholders to support technology deployment, user adoption, training, governance, and ongoing system improvement.
  • Spend Management & Vendor Oversight: Administer outside counsel and legal vendor management processes, including support for budgeting, forecasting, accrual tracking, invoice review, vendor onboarding, and spend reporting.

  • Knowledge Management: Oversee management of legal templates, playbooks, guidance materials, FAQs, process documentation, and other knowledge resources that improve consistency and scalability.
  • Process Improvement: Lead and support process-improvement initiatives designed to reduce cycle times, standardize workflows, improve user experience, and promote operational discipline across the department.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Build strong partnerships across Legal, Compliance, Finance, Procurement, IT, Human Resources, and other functions to coordinate initiatives that impact legal operations.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop the Legal Operations Specialist and help build a service-oriented, data-informed, and continuous-improvement mindset within the Legal Operations & Enablement function.
  • Change Management: Support communications, training, stakeholder engagement, and implementation planning for legal operations initiatives, technology rollouts, and department-wide process changes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 12+ years of professional experience and 4+ years of management experience.

Other Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing or administering legal technology platforms, business systems, workflow tools, reporting tools, or comparable enterprise technology solutions.
  • Experience managing complex cross-functional initiatives and operational programs.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, reporting, vendor management, spend management, or business operations activities.
  • Experience managing or coordinating the work of direct reports, project teams, vendors, or cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong legal operations, business operations, or department administration experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and improve operational processes, systems, reports, and governance mechanisms.
  • Strong project and program management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive work to completion.
  • Ability to translate business and legal department needs into practical processes, workflows, reports, and technology-enabled solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort using data to identify trends, improve decision-making, and measure operational performance.
