Director, IT Service Delivery - Underwriting, New Business and Claims, you will be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end execution of strategic initiatives by translating business priorities into actionable delivery roadmaps while meeting timelines, budgets, and value objectives.
- Evolve the operating model and ways of working toward a simpler, more predictable, and more accountable delivery approach, notably through the adoption of collaborative Fusion Team practices.
- Drive delivery performance through data by establishing and monitoring key performance indicators to identify improvement opportunities and eliminate bottlenecks.
- Define and implement an artificial intelligence roadmap aimed at improving automation, documentation, testing quality, and team efficiency.
- Manage the performance of IT partners and vendors, ensuring quality deliverables, commitment fulfillment, knowledge transfer, and the development of internal capabilities.
- Advise business partners on the selection and implementation of technology solutions such as commercial software packages, shared services, cloud-based solutions, and reusable platforms.
- Oversee the overall performance of the solutions under your responsibility, including security, compliance, financial management, project health, and production environment stability.
- Ensure adherence to established processes, guidelines, and standards while contributing to the continuous improvement of working methods.
- Plan and oversee the management of needs related to applications, information, data, infrastructure, and technology services.
- Maintain strong and proactive collaborative relationships with business sectors, IT teams, and various internal partners to ensure the seamless evolution of services and applications.
What Could Accelerate Your Success in This RoleWe are looking for someone who:
- Has more than 15 years of experience in information technology, including the management of large-scale strategic programs or projects and multiple teams.
- Holds a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
- Is recognized for their inspiring leadership and ability to guide teams through complex technology transformations.
- Stands out for their ability to influence, negotiate, and establish trusted relationships with business partners and senior leaders.
- Demonstrates strong analytical skills and the ability to drive performance through data, metrics, and measurable indicators.
- Is known for their strategic vision, execution rigor, and ability to translate organizational priorities into tangible results.
- Possesses a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, DevOps practices, scaled agile methodologies (SAFe), and Lean principles.
- Demonstrates solid expertise in data and artificial intelligence, along with the ability to integrate them into modern delivery models.
- Has significant experience in vendor management, outsourcing, and matrix management.
- Is able to travel to the corporate head office in Québec City once per month, as well as a minimum of four times per month to their designated office location (Montréal or Québec City).
- Has an advanced level of French proficiency (spoken and written).
- Has an advanced level of English proficiency, as the role requires leading meetings, delivering presentations, conducting negotiations, and preparing communications with internal partners and external vendors on a weekly basis.
Assets- Experience in the insurance, financial services, or banking industries.
- Experience working in a matrix management environment.
- SAFe, DevOps, ITIL, or cloud technology certifications (AWS or Azure).
