Make an Impact
We are seeking a highly accountable and execution-focused Director, IT Infrastructure & Operations to lead the strategy, stability, and modernization of our global infrastructure environment at Fossil Group. In this role, you will oversee the performance, resiliency, and scalability of a complex hybrid ecosystem spanning Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and multiple on-premise data centers worldwide.

Operating within a managed services model, this leader will oversee a global team of Service Delivery Managers and manage a strategic Managed Service Provider (MSP) responsible for infrastructure operations across networking, platform engineering, and database services. The ideal candidate is a strong operator with deep technical understanding, capable of driving global standardization, modernizing legacy environments, and improving visibility into operational risk.

What you will do in this role:
  • Define and execute the global infrastructure strategy across GCP and on-premise data centers
  • Lead and develop a distributed team of Service Delivery Managers across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC
  • Drive modernization of legacy platforms including Windows, Linux, AIX, SQL Server, and DB2 environments
  • Standardize global operational processes, procedures, and service delivery expectations
  • Own the strategic relationship with a global MSP responsible for infrastructure operations and support
  • Establish and manage SLAs, KPIs, governance, and accountability frameworks for MSP performance
  • Ensure high levels of system availability, disaster recovery readiness, and site resiliency
  • Enhance visibility into infrastructure health and operational risk through monitoring and asset management platforms such as LogicMonitor and Flexera
  • Partner closely with Cybersecurity to align infrastructure operations with enterprise security standards and risk mitigation strategies
  • Provide clear roadmaps and recommendations for reducing technical debt and improving operational maturity
  • Leverage AI-driven operations, automation, and operational analytics to improve infrastructure efficiency and resiliency

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience including Director-level leadership or equivalent Senior Manager experience
  • Proven experience managing global hybrid infrastructure environments spanning cloud and on-premise platforms
  • Strong experience managing large Managed Service Provider (MSP) relationships
  • Demonstrated success leading global teams across multiple regions and time zones
  • Deep understanding of enterprise infrastructure technologies including GCP, Windows, Linux, AIX, Cisco, Meraki, SQL Server, and DB2
  • Strong operational leadership skills with a focus on accountability, resiliency, and execution
  • Experience supporting large-scale global retail, corporate, and supply chain environments
  • Strong understanding of AI-driven operations, automation, or advanced operational analytics
  • Strong communicator capable of translating technical challenges into business impact
  • Skilled in influencing outcomes within a matrixed, MSP-driven operating model

Preferred Qualifications
  • ITIL certification or strong familiarity with ITIL practicesExperience with observability and monitoring platforms such as LogicMonitor
  • Experience with enterprise asset management platforms such as Flexera
