Full Job Description

We are looking for an exceptional Director, IT Business Technology Leader who can lead the charge in driving IT strategy, collaboration, and innovation across our VSD and PSD Divisions. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the technology landscape for our dynamic organization.

*Must live within commuting distance to Andover, MA.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Collaborate with senior executives in each division to manage stakeholder expectations, identify, qualify, and implement technology solutions aligned with business strategy and objectives.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring seamless IT planning and delivery in support of key initiatives.
  • Shape the technology strategy for each division, developing forward-thinking IT strategies and roadmaps.
  • Create compelling business-aligned implementation plans and agile delivery methodologies to drive faster time to business value.
  • Align priorities and forecast budgets for the IT portfolio to divisional strategies.
  • Provide insights that shape business strategies and ensure optimal alignment with IT capabilities.
  • Drive global IT and business collaboration by engaging with MKS Instruments' global network.
  • Promote modern solutions and keep business stakeholders informed about emerging IT products and services.
  • Oversee vendor selection, financial management, and performance for each division’s IT portfolio.

Skills You Bring:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree; preferably, a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. An advanced degree in sciences, business administration, or IT is advantageous.
  • 15+ years of experience in Information Technology, with a leadership role in an IT customer-facing capacity for 5+ years.
  • In-depth knowledge of leading technology trends and best practices within the industry.
  • Familiarity with key processes within the relevant business area (e.g.: Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, Product Marketing, Customer Service) and regulations governing the industry.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, demonstrating the ability to influence and interface effectively at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Proven experience in organizational change management, issues & conflict resolution, and business-technology innovation.
  • Some travel required based on business needs, experience working with globally distributed teams, especially in Japan, EU, and India.
  • Broad awareness of business and IT capabilities, with hands-on experience implementing functional area-specific applications.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary Pay Range: $168,000 - 280,000 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.  At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

  • Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS (or as applicable).

*This role is HYBRID and candidate must be within commutable driving distance to our Corporate HQ in Andover MA.
