This Opportunity

Reporting to the SVP, Marketing & Communications, this role involves leading internal communications within the region. This position requires a deep understanding of business objectives and organizational dynamics, as well as the ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders across diverse areas of expertise, including global marcom central and shared services teams. In this context, strong interpersonal skills are essential.

In this role, the internal communications leader contributes to shaping strategy with local insight, bringing deep local intelligence and market understanding, they act as the primary connection to the regional and trusted advisors to the business.

Empowered to deliver impact, they connect global direction to local priorities and opportunities. This position can be based in any U.S. city where WSP has an office location, with preference to east coast locations.

Your Impact
  • Translate strategy into engaging employee experiences bringing to life global initiatives in region, creating clear, consistent communications that build pride and belonging.
  • Lead projects, mandates, events, and internal communication activities with significant impact across the region.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate strategies, campaigns, and communication plans aligned with best practices at the regional level.
  • Build strong and effective relationships with stakeholders to provide expert advice on internal communications.
  • Advise and support business sectors on strategic mandates ensuring proper positioning, planning, execution, and follow-up.
  • Promote an agile, proactive, and personalized communication approach that aligns with employee needs, in collaboration with global and shared services teams.
  • Identify and analyze issues, address key challenges, conduct diagnostics, and provide recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Represent the Marketing and Communications U.S. team on various initiatives, particularly in the context of acquisition and integration activities, in collaboration with global and central teams as well as key stakeholders in the business.
  • Collaborate with central Marcom teams to review and enhance internal communication tools and channels, ensuring they are adapted to the operational realities and needs of employees and support regional internal communication objectives.
  • Work closely with members of the regional, global and shared Marketing and Communications teams.
  • Coordinate local events as needed.
Who You Are

Required Qualifications
  • Professional experience in internal communications, in large organizations
  • Bachelors degree in communications or a related field
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in communications
  • Strong proficiency in English, spoken and written
  • Proven experience in implementing internal communication strategies in dynamic and evolving environments
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with key stakeholders and influence senior leaders
  • Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to craft content that effectively resonates with target audiences
  • A high level of professionalism and integrity when working with leadership on confidential and sensitive communications

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $128,000.00 - $200,000.00
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
