We are looking for a Director, Integrated Systems, who will lead the Electric Power Systems, Integrated Systems product line. This position will work onsite at our Rockford, IL facility. You will be leading program managers responsible for ATA Chapter 24 programs, military programs, and collaborating with other SBUs on new distribution technology. You will collaborate with CE&S group on strategies to progress the product line with OEMs. You will also serve as a customer escalation point during Program Kick-Off through Entry into Service. You will be responsible for the execution of the contract or project, ensure RLPM adherence, and lead contract negotiations.

What You Will Do
  • Direct and manage 4 program managers and other staff.
  • Accountable for all customer commitments including deliveries and financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Accountable for key financial and product performance metrics for the products
  • Plan, direct, and monitor collateral budget.
  • Provide inputs to the Strategic and Financial Plan (SFP) for their product scope.
  • Manage changes to the product(s) in the product line or family.
  • Collaborate across the product lines in EPS to support multiple customers or potential customers for the products and services provided by EPS.
  • Regularly influence and negotiate to achieve and/or exceed commitments.
  • Lead complex teams with some matrixed responsibilities.
  • Lead decision making for the IPTs and apply critical thinking where incomplete data exists.
  • Develop networks and communicate vision to IPT and stakeholders within and outside of the function.
  • Travel 10 - 20%, domestic and international, as required by the business.


Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience.
  • U.S. Person - Military contract stipulates the candidates must be U.S. Person.
  • Experience leading teams and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience with budget ownership, forecasting, P&L exposure
  • Experience developing and executing strategic plans.
  • Operational management experience and familiarity with KPIs, process improvement, and organizational performance.
  • Experience managing complex projects, programs, or business units
  • Experience with proposals and customer negotiations.


Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., engineering, operations, program management).
  • Background in organizational change initiatives.
  • Ability to lead and influence at the executive level, often including matrixed environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

The salary range for this role is 186,200 USD - 353,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
