Director, Integrated Brand Marketing and Channel Strategy
The Director of Integrated Brand Marketing is a strategic leader responsible for designing, executing, and optimizing multi-channel brand campaigns that drive top-of-funnel growth and strengthen brand equity across our global payment network. Leading channel strategy across owned, earned, and paid media, you will ensure every touchpoint delivers a cohesive message, elevates brand preference, and yields measurable ROI.
The ideal leader brings deep subject-matter expertise across the payments landscape and network economics—someone who speaks the language fluently and can hold their own in a room full of network experts. You thrive in complex environments and have a proven track record of successfully driving consensus and influencing key cross-functional partners across a highly matrixed, multi-brand organization without direct authority.
Key Responsibilities:
Campaign Strategy & Execution: Partner with Strategy, Content, and Creative teams to translate core network brand positioning into high-converting campaign themes and integrated channel assets
Omnichannel Leadership:Lead channel strategies across web, social, paid media, and partner channels, establishing an integrated roadmap aligned with broader network marketing and enterprise goals
Budget & Channel Optimization: Define optimal channel mixes and manage budget allocations across paid search, paid social, display, and web properties to maximize ROI
Enablement & Alignment:Collaborate with Sales Enablement and Go-To-Market teams to equip internal stakeholders with brand narratives, launch playbooks, pitch decks, and client outreach assets
Agency & Vendor Management:Oversee agency partners, media buyers, and vendors to ensure top-tier execution, contract value, and business performance.
Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of channel specialists and campaign managers
Market Intelligence: Continuously benchmark best-in-class B2B/B2C marketing tactics and track the competitive payments landscape to continuously innovate our marketing engine
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
At least 8 years of experience in brand marketing, product marketing, or channel management within financial services or payment networks
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or Business
9+ years of experience leading integrated marketing campaigns within a global payment network or fintech environment
Demonstrated success operating within regulated financial, legal, and compliance environments
Experience managing multi-million dollar paid media budgets and leading creative/media agency relationships

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $206,000 - $235,100 for Director, BrandNew York, NY: $224,800 - $256,500 for Director, Brand
Chicago, IL: $187,300 - $213,700 for Director, Brand
Riverwoods, IL: $187,300 - $213,700 for Director, Brand
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
