Full Job Description
The Kentucky Region HR Director serves as a strategic business partner to regional leadership, responsible for developing and executing human resources strategies that align with organizational priorities. This role provides executive-level guidance on workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, employee experience, and change management to drive performance and support long-term growth.

Leadership & Strategy
• Develop and execute comprehensive HR strategies that align with the Region's operational and strategic goals.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, influencing decision-making and driving initiatives that improve organizational effectiveness and outcomes.
• Lead large-scale change management initiatives, ensuring effective communication, leader alignment, and seamless organizational transitions.
• Leverage workforce analytics and trends to inform strategy, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement and innovation in HR practices.
• Incorporate emerging technologies, including AI-driven tools and analytics, into HR strategy to improve decision-making, workforce insights, and operational efficiency.

Employee Experience
• Champion a consistent, high-quality employee experience across the full lifecycle-from recruitment through retention and career development.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance engagement, well-being, and retention, particularly during periods of organizational change and growth.
• Oversee performance management frameworks to ensure alignment between individual contributions and organizational objectives.
• Foster a culture that prioritizes open communication, feedback, recognition, and accountability.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state-specific employment laws and regulations, as well as federal requirements, across the Region.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Employee Relations to proactively mitigate risk and ensure consistent application of policies and practices.
• Monitor changes in state regulations (e.g., wage and hour laws, leave requirements, licensure considerations, and employee relations policies) and lead implementation of necessary process or policy updates.
• Provide oversight and guidance on investigations, employee relations matters, and workforce practices to ensure regulatory compliance and organizational consistency.

Stakeholder Engagement
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with leaders, employees, and HR partners across the system.
• Act as the primary HR strategic advisor for the Region, providing guidance on complex workforce and employee relations matters.
• Partner with system HR centers of excellence (e.g., Talent, Total Rewards, Employee Relations) to ensure alignment and execution of enterprise initiatives.
• Represent the organization externally in professional associations and industry forums to maintain awareness of emerging HR trends and best practices.
• Engage stakeholders in understanding and responsibly adopting AI capabilities within HR workflows and decision-making processes.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in a complex or healthcare environment
• Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR initiatives to operational outcomes
