Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to provide executive leadership across all HR operations, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership and department heads to drive talent acquisition, staff retention, employee relations, compensation, and workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as an executive advisor to leadership and partner with corporate HR to align workforce strategy with organizational goals.
  • Direct hospital-wide recruitment, hiring, and onboarding strategies; analyze turnover metrics and exit insights to cultivate strong retention and culture initiatives.
  • Guide leadership through complex employee relations, formal grievances, performance management, and legally defensible documentation.
  • Oversee job descriptions, pay tables, FLSA classifications, merit programs, and the CHIPP incentive plan; collaborate with the CFO and Corporate HR on benefits and payroll systems.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state labor laws, CIHQ, OSHA, and healthcare accreditation standards; oversee workers' compensation, safety protocols, and third-party FMLA/leave administration.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 to 7 years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably within a hospital or healthcare environment.
  • CPHR or SPHR preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, healthcare regulations, and HR best practices; demonstrated executive leadership, strategic problem-solving, and communication skills.
