Position: Director of Human Resources

Reports To: Superintendent
FLSA Status: Exempt
Contract Days: 249
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Educational Administration, or a related field required
  • School Business Official License required.
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Administrative License preferred
  • Minimum of five years of experience in human resources or personnel administration.
  • Experience in public education is preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills.


Compensation and Benefits
  • Administer employee benefit programs, including health, retirement, and disability plans.
  • Certify employee classifications and salary schedules.
  • Conduct research and provide recommendations related to compensation and benefits.
Policy Development and Administration
  • Develop, revise, and implement personnel policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws and Board policies.
  • Provide guidance to administrators and employees regarding personnel policies and employment matters.
  • Communicate changes in policies, procedures, and regulations to district staff.
Leadership and Collaboration
  • Supervise and evaluate Human Resources staff.
  • Participate as a member of the Superintendent's leadership team.
  • Support district goals through effective communication, collaboration, and strategic planning.
  • Promote a culture of professionalism, equity, respect, and continuous improvement.


Other Duties
  • Respond to surveys, reports, and requests for personnel information.
  • Perform administrator reviews of Professional Development Dossiers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
